Welcome to the 2014-15 season of the Atlanta Master Chorale! The music we will sing for you this year is incredible. Ancient and modern, a cappella and accompanied, well known and brand new, we bring you music for the mind and the heart. Come with us - as we discover music inspired by the four classical elements: Earth, Air, Fire, and Water. Celebrate with us -as we offer the carols of Christmas with voices, strings, and harp. Soar with us - as we present an evening of the music of Great Britain and another of the music of France: from the majestic music of kings to the exquisite beauty of the Fauré Requiem. Join with us - as we seek to find those places where music touches spirit. See you at the Schwartz Center!

Auditions will be held August 12th, 14th and 19th, 2014, from 6-10pm in the Schwartz Center for Performing Arts. Our season runs from August to May. Our singers are some of Atlanta’s finest musicians. Some have degrees in music, others come from backgrounds in science, law, engineering, teaching, and industry, just to name a few. Their common thread is an intense dedication to producing exquisite choral music. Does that describe you, or someone you know? Audition with us! Thanks largely to your support and concert attendance, Atlanta Master Chorale is now being recognized all over the country as a standard-bearer for choral artistry. The Atlanta Community Choral Festival is our way of bringing you other great choral artists from Atlanta and beyond. This year’s Festival will include a performance by the Chattanooga Boys Choir and other choirs from right here in our incredibly artistic backyard. Choir, much like life, is better when experienced together. Join us for this special night of music!

This transcendent MasterWork will take you beyond the merely physical hu-man experience, into the space where strings and voices transform your under-standing of beauty. Fauré interweaves commanding orchestrations with delicate melodies to produce an awe-inspiring voyage that is guaranteed to stir your soul and touch your spirit. The Fauré Requiem will be introduced by Lully’s Psalm 19, Messiaen’s O Sacrum Convivium, and Fauré’s own Cantique de Jean Racine, all beautiful in their own right, combining to create an unforgettable evening of French mastery
