• Open to pupils with help of their language/home economics/primary teachers

• Create, photograph and review an item on an afternoon tea menu in the language being learned

• Prize! Trip to Cloughjordan House Cookery School for the whole class to experience language, culture and cookery with a Spanish theme

• Aim: Encourage excellence and innovation in language teaching and help Europeans learn languages more efficiently

• Created by the Council of Europe and based in Graz, Austria

• Offers a series of thematic workshops open to relevant professionals

• Also offers six-month traineeships for graduates

• Ireland can send one fully funded nominee to each workshop

• Workshop places for 2014 are filled; 2015 schedule will be announced shortly

• Award for individuals also offered on occasions

• Projects require at least two schools from two participating countries (one-country projects currently being piloted)
