The A Tree For A Child (ATFAC) Activities Report for the period of January to June 2010 captured all programs implemented in the ATFAC Center Jakarta.

The 2010 programs are framed in line with the objective of the foundation i.e. poverty alleviation and environment protection.

1. EDUCATION

1.1. Providing Scholarships

The number of children received scholarships for the period of 2010 are:

1.2. Providing English Courses

In the 1st Semester 2010, English Courses are opened for the children who

are on the elementary level. As most of the children now are on the 9th grade

and their exam was in March 2010, they preferred to study together rather

than concentrate on one specific subject.

1.3. Providing Computer Courses

In 2010 we ATFAC Center received 7

new computers from the Accor Call

Center Office which was relocated to

Malaysia. Thank to these additional

computers as more children can take

the courses.

1.4. Providing Youth Coaching

The children are now 80% are in the teenager

age, a critical phase in which they need a lot

of guidance in terms of sexual education and

HIV awareness as they are still exposed to

the risk of being abused by other less

educated adults in their community. ….

1.4. Providing Youth Coaching (continued)

Therefore as of April 2010, ECPAT Affiliated Groups in Indonesia has signed

MOU with Accor Indonesia to provide youth coaching for our ATFAC Foster

Children. A psychologist from ECPAT is standby in the center 2 times a week

to meet with the children and run youth related coaching session for them.

1.5. Providing Tutorial

ATFAC gives opportunity to its partners to host the tutorial programs for the

ATFAC foster children. The objective of the tutorial program is to give the

children more exposure to any related education issues that can enrich their

knowledge on their future and academic achievements.

Ibis Jakarta Kemayoran, Hotel

Arcadia and Mercure Jakarta Kota

sponsored the tutorial program to

the Presidential Palace in Jakarta

the month of April 2010.

Meanwhile Accor Head Office

Jakarta and Hotel Formule – 1

funded the tutorial program to

watch Russian Circus.

Thank to the The Tutorial Program

sponsors, 30 children have

memorable experiences of the

Trips.

1. EDUCATION

1.6. Recognition for the Top 12 Children

To recognize the high achievers and to encourage others to follow them, the

top 12 children of 2009 are rewarded with 3 days educational trip to

Yogyakarta. They are either the best graduates or have the highest scores in

their respective schools.

10 best children from ATFAC

Jakarta Center: Sari, Vera,

Hanifah, Etty, Fitri, Ilda, Hadi,

Udin, Trio and Hilmy.

2 best children from ATFAC

Bandung: Dewi and Heni.

The educational trips given

them opportunity to

experience flying by Garuda

Indonesia, staying at Ibis

Malioboro and visited the

historical Sultan Palace, and the majestic Borobudur

Temple and Prambanan

Temple. The trip is closed with

playing with the waves at the

famous and mysterious

Parangtritis beach.

All children are very happy and

they are wondering whether

they can join another trip in

2011.

2. HEALTH CARE

The Clinics

ATFAC provides free medication for the

ATFAC foster children and the

underprivileged children who live around the center by providing The clinic that is

opened on Monday, Wednesday and

Friday, from 10:00 until 12:00 o’clock.

Between January to June 2010, there

were 112 children who received the

benefit of the free medication.

3. NUTRITION

3.1. Providing Nutrition Food

The 10 Accor Hotels in Jakarta and

Bogor have provided the children with

the nutrition food to improve their health.

The food is delivered to the center from

Monday to Friday, at 12:00 o’clock, the time when the children returned from

their schools.

In total the hotels have provided 1900

portion of foods in the 1st Semester of

2010.

3.2. Providing SEMBAKO

SEMBAKO or Nine Basic Needs of the

family to maintain their health are

provided by ATFAC Center on monthly basis. The family that are eligible to

receive the assistance are only those

whose children have reached 95%

attendance in their schools.

Each family receives a SEMBAKO

package worth IDR 200,000 every

month.

4. PLANTING TREES

Up to March 2010 ATFAC received

donation of 20,400 trees from Accor

Hotels in Indonesia as the result of the

Plant for the Planet Program.

The trees received will be planted in 12 ha of land an extension of what

ATFAC currently have 56ha of lands

with 95,710 trees, in Glandang Village,

Central Java under coordination of

Perhutani, LMDH Karya Lestari and

LMDH Wana Lestari.

The seeding time will be started in the

month of August 2010 and the planting is in December 2010. While January –

June 2010 is used by the farmers as the

maintenance time.

The monitoring visit is done on the month

of February 2010.

Thank to the Plant for the Planet program,

150 framers received the benefit of the programs and were able to improve their

monthly income and to send their children

to finish their higher education.

To ensure the projects met the sponsors’

expectation and met its objective,

Kinomé, a French Société A Responsabilité Limitée (SARL), has

audited the project and monitored its

implementation.

5. ACTIVITIES WITH PARTNERS

5.1. Kelleher for Youth

On 8 June 2010, Byron Kelleher, one of the world’s best

rugby players with his foundation

Kelleher for Youth that is

aimed to fund training programs

and working community, has

driven an auction program to raise fund for ATFAC.

Thank to Byron, ATFAC is able to

plant 1000 trees and fund the

education of a children trafficking

victim for the next 3 years.

5.2. Virgin Blue and Pacific

Blue

ATFAC received AUD 4,000 from

Virgin Blue and Pacific Blue.

The fund is used to rennovate an

Elementary School, SD Taman 3,

Badung, in Bali.

5.3. Accor Bali & LombokHotels

Accor Bali & Lombok Hotels on 24 April 2010 held a fund raising golf

tournament “Spirit of Smiles” for the

benefit of ATFAC Foundation.

USD 13,500 was raised during the

tournament !!!

privilege children.

6. ACTIVITIES IN ATFAC CENTER JAKARTA

6.1. Moving to A New House

ATFAC Center Jakarta has moved to a new address and new house. Thank you to

Accor Hotels in Jakarta for the support in renovating the house. The children are

now happily able to use the house officially as of 28 June 2010

The new ATFAC Center is more spacious comparing to the previous one. It provides Study Room, Computer

Rooms, Library Room, Clinic and Dormitory for the

children.

4 Children are able to be accommodated in the center

now. The children who are given an access to stay in

the center are those who are at least 15 years old and have been through a period of close monitoring and

shows serious motivation in their academic

achievement.

The new ATFAC Center is still in the process of

reaching its most comfortable and efficient area. There

are many assistance needed in terms of furniture and equipment. We are sure that by end of 2010 the center

will be a fun place to learn and to stay for the children.

6. ACTIVITIES IN ATFAC CENTER JAKARTA

6.2. Housewarming

Initiated by the parents of ATFAC foster children a housewarming party for blessing

the new ATFAC Center is held on 2 July 2010.

At the same time the children organized a play for their parents to make their

school holidays into a useful and fun day.

7. EXCLUSIVELY SPONSORED CHILDREN

7.1. Rifki

Name: Rifki

Age: 15 Years

Progress Summary: Rifki is sponsored exclusively by

Mr. Jochen Dobel since 1 August 2002.

Rifki is now in Grade IX and has just graduated. He

developed his skills in Futsal (mini soccer), a member

of futsal club and is keen to be a good soccer player.

Academically, he is making good progress, and still

need to work on his confidence.

7. EXCLUSIVELY SPONSORED CHILDREN

7.2. SupriadiName: Supriadi

Age: 15 Years

Progress Summary: Supridadi is sponsored

exclusively by Mr. Oswald Pichler since 1 August

2002.

Supriadi is now in Grade IX and has just graduated

and is in the process of registration to a Senior High

School. Supriadi has an average score during his

academic year of 2010.

7.3. Rina Nur AwaliaName: Rina Nur Awalia

Age: 16 Years

Progress Summary: Rina received the scholarship

from Kelleher for Youth as of 15 June 2010.

She attends a Vocational School and will be finished

her education in 2012. Kelleher for Youth has made

her able finish her education as well as funds a 6

month internship program to assist her in finding a job

and be independent.

7.4. Heri SetiawanName: Heri Setiawan

Age: 16 Years

Progress Summary: Heri received the scholarship

from Mr. Nigel Harper since 1 August 2002.

He is now in Grade IX and jas just graduated. He will

pursue his study to the Senior High School and in the

process of finding one. He is active in the ATFAC

Music Club and wish to be a Policeman.

7. EXCLUSIVELY SPONSORED CHILDREN

7.5. Trisnawati Name: Trisnawati

Age: 17 Years

Progress Summary: Trisna has received the

scholarship since 1 August 2002. Thank to Mr. Rob Hornman who has sponsored her as she now has

graduated from Senior High School and on the way

to find a job. Therefore, Trisna has given a 6 month internship programs in the ATFAC center to handle its

administration with the objective to familiarize herself

with the working environment.

7.6. Listiana SandiName: Listiana Sandi

Age: 16 Years

Progress Summary: Listiana is sponsored by Mr. Denis Schohn since 1 August 2002. She is now in

Grade XI at SMK Wijaya Kusuma, a vocational

school.

Listiana is a confidence teenager now, likes to sing

and dreams to be a teacher.

7.7. Firman HanafiName: Firman Hanafi

Age: 17 Years

Progress Summary: Firman has given the

scholarship since 1 August 2002. Thank to Mr. Brian Deeson for sponsoring him, Firman is now in Grade

XI at SMK Negeri IX, a state vocational school.

Wants to be an architect, Firman turns to be a diligent

teenager who likes to play soccer.

7.8. M. Fajar Suhadi Name: Fajar

Age: 15 Years

Progress Summary: Fajar has received the

scholarship since 1 August 2002. Mr. Jean M. Loustalet has sponsored him and he is now has

graduated from his Junior High (Grade IX).

Fajar is in the process of finding a senior high school

now. He is active in ATFAC Center and likes to play

soccer.

7.9. Leaving Children

Due to many reasons from parents, normally moving house or relocation,

some children have left ATFAC Center.

7.10. New Sponsored

In order to keep the legacy from the attentive sponsors ATFAC Foundation

has given the opportunity to another children
