Connect Your Technical Training to College CreditDid you know the training you complete at Northeast Tech could put you on the fast track toward a college degree? In a cooperative effort between the Oklahoma State Regents for Higher Education and the Oklahoma Department of Career Technology Education, college credit may be earned through Prior Learning Assessments (PLA). Students who earn industry certifications while at Northeast Tech may be able to apply the certifications to college credit at participating colleges. The benefits of PLA are:

• Decrease education costs• Accelerate time to degree completion• Avoid course duplication

Depending on your program at Northeast Tech, your coursework may connect to an Associate Applied Science Degree (AAS) at participating in-state or out-of-state colleges. You will need to provide a Northeast Tech transcript and any certifications to the college to be reviewed for possible college credit at a reduced cost. College credit hours granted varies by college and Northeast Tech program.

College Events at Northeast TechChad Cargill Test Prep Workshop - Do you need a few extra points on your ACT to earn scholarships or get into college? Then this workshop is for you! This is the ONLY workshop given by someone who took the ACT 18 times and increased his score from a 19 to a 32. The workshop covers what will be on the test and how to master successful testing techniques. College and Career Fairs - Attend a College and Career Fair at one of Northeast Tech’s campuses and you’ll be able to visit with colleges, military recruiters, Workforce Oklahoma and business/industry representatives. Find out how to apply for college, receive financial aid, seek scholarships and transfer college credits toward a degree.
