Example: When asked to build an itinerary, the student was not able to identify key words to begin an Internet search. The student has some curiosity and research skills, and locates information, but does not organize it, understand it, or evaluate it. Example: The student began an Internet search but only sought out 2 sources, and printed out web pages but did not organize, evaluate, or reference information; the client was not able to determine how selections were made. The student is open to learning and has adequate research skill; locates information, understands it, organizes it, and evaluates its credibility. Example: The student was able to find all needed information on the Internet and in office databases; understood and organized the information by useful categories; and chose destinations based on client interest. The student is very open to learning, and has high level research skills; locates, understands, and organizes a large quantity of information, evaluates it, and presents it in a useful form. Example: The student was able to find all needed information on the Internet and in office databases; understood and organized the information by useful categories; chose destinations based on client interest; and prepared a list of all the pertinent websites so the client could investigate further.
