Follow these instructions to properly install and transport this extension. If you are not sure of your combine weight limits, call your combine manufacturer for advice. Combine manufacturers will provide you with the maximum combine weight limits of their various models. JD S660/S670 JD S680/S690 BIG TOP 54448 & 54502 ASSEMBLY INSTRUCTIONS 1. Align bracket mount 54440-12 to existing holes in the raised bracket on the left side (right side on the right hand side panel) of the OEM hopper panel as shown in Figure 1. 2. Once aligned, use a 3/8" drill bit to drill holes completely through OEM hopper panel. 3. Attach bracket 54440-12 using 3/8 x 2" hex bolt and nylock nut. ASSEMBLY INSTRUCTIONS

As shown in Figure 5, two holes exist in the John Deere panel and two holes need to be drilled. 1. Install the panel mounting plate to the corner panel
weldment using (1) 5/16"x 3" bolt and nut for each mounting plate.
2. Place the extension corner panel weldment assembly on the JD panel of the Big Top.
3. Align the holes on the panel mounting plate with the JD panel and align the outside of the corner panel weldment assembly with the outside of the JD Big Top, as seen in Figure 3.

4. Mark and drill the hole for each of the panel mounting plates (see Figs. 4 and 5).
5. Attach the panel mounting plate to the JD panel with 5/16" x 3/4" bolts and corresponding nuts.
6. Repeat steps 1 - 5 for the three other corners.

ATTACH CORNERS (BT 54448)
1. Attach the short top corner between the side and corner panels with the 3/16" lynch pin and corner clamp angle. (Figure 6)
2. Attach the long top corner between the front and corner panels with the 3/16" lynch pin and corner clamp angle. (Figure 6)

Note: The lower panels are part of the JD frame and are not included in the Big Top kit. They are shown for reference purposes only.
Note: Only (1) Quick Release Pin (PN 14902-00) is used per panel, for a total of 8 per kit.
1. Position bracket mount 54492-15 at the top of the raised bracket on the left side of the OEM hopper panel.
2. Once aligned, use a 3/8" drill bit to drill holes completely through OEM bracket and hopper panel.
3. Attach bracket 54492-15 using 3/8 x 2" hex bolts and nylock nuts. DO NOT over tighten as this may damage OEM hopper panel.
4. Next, position bracket mount 54493-15 at the top of the raised bracket on the right side of the OEM hopper panel.
5. Once aligned, use 3/8" drill bit to drill holes completely through OEM hopper panel.
6. Attach bracket 54493-15 using 3/8 x 2" hex bolts and nylock nuts. DO NOT over tighten as this may damage OEM hopper panel.
ATTACH FRONT, SIDE AND REAR PANELS (BT 54502)7. Attach panel brace 54486-15 to the right bracket mount
using a quick release pin.
8. Using 1/4 x 5/8" hex bolts and nuts attach brace pivot bracket 54443-15 to the right hand side of the panel.
9. Attach panel brace to the brace pivot bracket using 5/16 x 3-1/4" bolt and nylock nut.
10. Measure 11.16" from bottom of the bracket mount to the center top hole of pivot bracket. Fold in panel to check that the pivot bracket aligns with panel brace. (Figure 8)
11. Once aligned, use 1/4" drill bit to drill holes completely through OEM hopper panel. Using 1/4 x 2" hex bolts and nuts attach brace pivot bracket 54443-15 to the right hand side of the panel.
12. Repeat steps 1 -11 for all sides.

1. Attach the corner panels to the panels already installed using the lynch pins provided. The panels are labeled on the top to identify placement.
2. Attach three lanyards to both sides of each panel with 1/4" x 3/4" hex bolts and 1/4" nuts.
3. Wrap each lanyard end around a lynch pin to secure the pins to the front, rear and side panels.
4. Align holes on the corner panels with the pint on the front, rear and side panels and secure with lynch pins..
