Introduction!Surah Hujurat:

10-The believers are like brothers to one another; so promote peace & reconciliation

among them, & fear Allah, that you may receive mercy.!!

As we go about our daily lives, some of us spend a lot of time trying to discover who

we are. Subhan Allah, what a waste of time! Does it really matter that I am X, you are Y. No beloved reader, it does not matter! What

truly maters is our identity as a Muslim Ummah. X, Y & Z should be one & our

identity comes from our way of life, which is Islam. The sources of guidance are The

Holy Qur’an & Sunnah. It does not matter who you are, what is your nationality, what is your job, what letters come before or after your name! Allah has categorically said in the Qur’an in the above verse that we are

like brothers to one another! Subhan Allah. !!What is Allah SWT trying to tell us? The

importance of building a community, a society based on the principles of

brotherhood. Imagine a society where we see every Muslim as a brother/sister? Would we ever deliberately like to cause any pain or

suffering to a brother/sister? Would in normal circumstances, anyone feel jealous of

his brother/sister? Our societies have been geared towards selfishness, for thinking

about our own interest, building our own imperium that we have forgotten that “my”

is very lonely & life is about “we” & it is what Allah SWT wants us to focus on. !

We are not going to go into Jannah alone! Allah SWT states in the Quran, Surah Az-

Zumar, ayah 73-74:!!

73. And those who had Taqwa will be led to Paradise in groups till when they reach it, &

its gates will be opened & its keepers will say: "Salam `Alaykum (peace be upon you)! You have done well, so enter here to abide

therein forever.'') (74. And they will say: "All the praises & thanks be to Allah Who has fulfilled His promise to us & has made us inherit the land. We can dwell in Paradise where we will; how excellent a reward for

the workers!’'!!The goal of Jannah is not restricted to a few but should be the goal of every Muslim. If

we are not going to Jannah alone then what we have to do? We have to build sound

Muslim communities resting on solid bonds of brotherhood! It does not matter how

small or big the community is! What actually matters is our concern for the

wellbeing of another! !!I would like to end by quoting a beautiful Hadith of the Prophet SAW, which in few words states what our belief entails: “Not one of you can (truly) believe if you do not want for your (believing) brother what you

want for yourself.” (Bukhari, Al-Iman (Faith); 7.!!

The only person that can save you is yourself! The determination should come first from you, then hold on to Allah all

the time! He is sufficient for you.” Just like travelling

Whenever you are planning for a journey you organise your luggage and set the fastest route towards the destination. Everyday you are

travelling towards the Hereafter. Your destination is to reach the pleasure of Allah and Paradise.

Your route is the straight path. Your vehicle are your good deeds.

Your obstacles are your sins, your nafs and shaitan. Keep smiling and enjoy your journey!”

Admit and learn from your mistakes! The biggest mistake a person can do is to say “ I am not making

mistakes” Make your desires to be the Qur’an and Sunnah!

Live in that world and you will be guaranteed safety and protection.” Always aim for the best!

As if you are working for a company, you must target to achieve the CEO position. If you are not ambitious and hardworking enough, you will

always remain at the same level, so keep performing good deeds! The All-Mighty is preparing your rewards!”

!للمتقني“That is the Book, without any doubt. It contains guidance for those who have taqwa”.[The Glorious Quran, Surah Al Baqarah, Ayat 2]!!Allah speaks about “That” Book. The term “That” is used for something which is distant and not within our reach easily. So which Book is being referred to here? !!The word “Kitaab” (الكتاب) linguistically means that which is documented or etched, or written. It leads one to ponder is there a Book which is far from us? Recorded? Written? Saved? This beautiful Ayat drives us to think whether the

Quran was already written before it was revealed. Indeed, the whole Quran was recorded and kept in the Preserved Tablet elLawhe elMahfooz, in the heavens, guarded by the Noble Angels!!!Hence, the actual Book is far, up high, in the heavens, thus it is appropriate to say “That Book” (الكتاب ذلك)!On the other side, there are many instances where Allah has used  ذا This) ٱلقرءان هQuran). We can find one such example in Surah Isra, Ayat 9:!

Quran comes from the word Qara’a or Yaqrau’, linguistically meaning to read. So where is the Quran read? It is read on this Earth by us. “This” is to denote something near and reachable. Since The Holy Quran is near to us, hence the word ذا !.is used (This) ه

All Glory and Praise to Allah, so Perfect He is in His words, so profound is their beauty. These are invaluable gems, Ayats that He has revealed for us so that we may be guided. Who else can speak with such Perfection? None except Allah, the One and Only Master. There is no might nor power except with Allah (سبحانه وتعالى)

That Book - “Surah Al Baqarah”

VI - Detailed Affirmation and Concise Negation !…continued from last issue!!Qur’anic methodology is detailed affirmation and concise negation, in contrast to the people of kalam.!*(kalam literally means speech and refers to groups who imported Greek philosophy (e.g. Aristotelian thought) into Islam and tried to mix it with the Quran). Attributes can be divided into 2 categories - Thubutiyyah (affirmed Attributes, which is the vast majority) and Manfiyyah (negated Attributes). Negation is rarer than affirmation. Usually it is done in general terms and negates something false that people may attribute to Allah. For example, “There is nothing like Him” [42:11], and “Do you know anyone that is similar to Him?” [19:65] Allah (swt) may also affirm something and negate a false presumption, for example,“And We did certainly create the heavens and earth and what is between them in six days, and there touched Us no weariness”. [50:38] and, “And rely upon the Ever-Living who does not die”. [25:58] Negation also implies affirmation of the opposite. So for example, to say Allah does not forget also implies that Allah always remembers what we do. To have negation on its own is not perfection or worthy of praise. It is like saying, “The wall does not show injustice (though it is not capable of showing justice either)”.

The people of kalam, however, negate in detail while affirming the opposite. So for example, they will begin describing Allah by saying things like “He does not have a body, He is neither above us, nor below us, nor to the left, nor to the right…” This methodology is not the way of the Quran, which primarily affirms in details the Attributes of Allah with succinct and concise negation.!!VII - Silence Regarding Words Not Affirmed or Negated !Examples include words such as direction (jiha) and body (jism). We stick to the texts of the Quran and Sunnah and do not speak without knowledge. !!People of kalam immediately begin talking about things like jiha in relation to things like istiwa, so they ignore the texts and make up their own words. If a word is not found in the Quran or Sunnah, it is examined, and if the meaning is incorrect, it is rejected. If the meaning can be good or bad, we do not use it. And if the meaning is correct, then it is accepted but only as a khabr [description]. continued on next page…!

Rules regarding Allah’s Names & Attributes

Page 7: AsSabiqoon: March issue # 4

…Continued from last page “And do not pursue that of which you have no knowledge. Indeed, the hearing, the sight and the heart – about all those [one] will be questioned”. [17:36]!VIII - Attribution Conveys Specification !A word can have a general meaning, but when it attributes to something else it becomes more specific. For example, light has a general meaning. But when you attribute it to the sun (sunlight) or the moon (moonlight) it becomes more specific. So for example, the creation may have aspects of rahmah (mercy), but when one refers to the Rahmah of Allah, it is much

more specific. Here are 3 types of idaafah (possession): !1.Attribution of a characteristic to its

owner and this does not change. For example, the Ilm of Allah. Sifaat Dhaatiyyah.!

2.Attribution of an object to its owner and such objects exist as of themselves not as concepts. For example, the house of Allah.!

3.Attribution of a verb or action to the one who does it, and this is a concept, not an object, and it is not static. For example, “your Lord comes…” Sifaat Fi’liyyah.!!

These concepts were misunderstood by deviant groups. For example, the first category was denied by the Mu’tazilah and affirmed by Ash’aris. The second category was not disputed as all understood these objects separate from Allah. The third category is unique to Ahlus-Sunnah, as the groups of kalam tried to put everything into the other categories.

Surah Ikhlas: In just 4 lines we can see the attributes of Allah. The points of detailed affirmation with concise negation is evident in here, Subhan Allah.

Reflections on Surah Luqman: Part 2 of 2!

Peace and blessings of Allah be upon the Prophet, his family, companions and followers. !!Beloved readers, in shaa Allah in part 2 and the last one on Surah Luqman, I would like to invite you to attend a workshop on “ building the character under the Light of the Qur’an” presented by Luqman, the wise one, praised by Allah subhana wa t’Ala (SWT) on Surah 31 of Al Qur’an. Luqman’s presentation is beautifully articulated by Allah in ayat 14-19. Luqman is specifically directing his advice to his son, but actually Allah SWT made this advice as part of the Qur’an because Allah wanted it to become a universal advice for every son and daughter under the sun. Let’s start with Luqman’s presentation on the rights of Allah and parents as reported by Rabbana on ayat 14-15:!

(13. And when Luqman said to his son when he was advising him: "O my son! Join not in worship others with Allah. Verily, joining others in worship with Allah is a great Zulm (wrong) indeed) (14. And We have enjoined on man (to be dutiful and good) to his parents. His mother bore him in weakness and hardship upon weakness and hardship, and his weaning is in two years -- give thanks to Me and to your parents. Unto Me is the final destination.) (15. But if they strive with you to make you join in worship with Me others that of which you have no knowledge, then obey them not; but behave with them in the world kindly, and follow the path of him who turns to Me in repentance and in obedience. Then to Me will be your return, and I shall tell you what you used to do.)!!Creation and Reproduction!Luqman is linking the act of reproduction with the act of creation. You came into existence by the will of Allah - Al Khaleq and then this will was translated in you being conceived and lodged for about nine months in the womb your mother. Hence you have to be grateful to the One Who created and fashioned you from a drop of semen and to your parents through whom you came into existence. Subhanal, Allah, beloved “mothers”, how Allah SWT has elevated you! You beloved mothers are not only mentioned “in passing” by Allah, but your Khaleq through the words of Luqman understands the pains you go through and appreciates this pain. He knows your struggle of nine months, when you go through “weakness after weakness”! continued on next page…!

Page 9: AsSabiqoon: March issue # 4

…continued from last page !He understands your sleepless nights and the demands of weaning your baby for 2 years or so.  This is truly an elevation, beloved mothers! This is also a wakeup call for all children to not undermine the rights of parents, in particular that of mothers. Allah SWT has placed this right at the same level as His right when Allah SWT in the above ayah 14, mentions – “give thanks to Me and to your parents”.!!The Prophet SAW, who used to be a “walking” Qur’an clearly states the rights of a mother in the following hadith: “A man came to the Prophet and said: O Messenger of Allah! Who from amongst mankind warrants the best companionship from me? He replied: "Your mother." The man asked: Then who? So he replied: "Your mother." The man then asked: Then who? So the Prophet replied again: "Your mother." The man then asked: Then who? So he replied: "Then your father." (Sahîh Bukhârî 5971 and Sahîh Muslim 7/2).!!May Rabbana make us grateful slaves and children and may we honour our parents as they deserve to be honoured and may Allah SWT forgive our shortcomings. Ameen.!!Let’s move on to ayah 16-19, when Luqman shares the words of wisdom that every father should share with his children, subhanal Allah. As we spoke about mothers earlier on, dear “fathers” Allah SWT has not forgotten you and how could He forget you! Beloved fathers are you not an important part of this balance and are you not an important in the upbringing of your children? Subhanal Allah,

Luqman was a father, actually he was a wise father. Now let’s reflect on the verses 16-19:!

(16. "O my son! If it be (anything) equal to the weight of a grain of mustard seed, and though it be in a rock, or in the heavens or on the earth, Allah will bring it forth. Verily, Allah is Subtle, Well-Aware.'') (17. "O my son! Perform the Salah, enjoin the good, and forbid the evil, and bear with patience whatever befalls you. Verily, all that is of the matters requiring determination.'') (18. "And turn not your face away from men with pride, nor walk in insolence through the earth. Verily, Allah likes not any arrogant boaster.'') (19. "And be moderate in your walking, and lower your voice. Verily, the harshest of all voices is the braying of the asses.''!!Tips on Successful Moral Conduct!Like anyone bestowed with wisdom, Luqman starts his presentation by referring to the absolute truth, that Allah is Al Lateef Al Khabeer (The Subtle, Well- Aware). Allah knows exactly the reality of every matter, whether it is obvious or hidden and hence keep that in front of your mind whatever you do! So do not try to deceive Allah SWT! Watch your heart! Whatever you do needs to be in coordination with your feelings and your thoughts. In a nutshell it should be with your heart. continued on next page…!

Page 10: AsSabiqoon: March issue # 4

…continued from last page !Let’s not forget, that Allah SWT tells us that understanding lies in the heart, not in the brain. Surah Al Hajj, ayah 46:!

(46. Have they not travelled through the land, and have they hearts wherewith to understand and ears wherewith to hear with. Verily, it is not the eyes that grow blind, but it is the hearts which are in the breasts that grow blind.)!!So what Pearls can we collect from the above ayat (16-19) in Surah Luqman?!

Establish the salah/prayer. Is not the prayer a reflection of your faith? !Enjoin good and forbid evil. If your salah is good, if you really understand Who you are connecting to in salah, Who you are actually supplicating to, then this will reflect in your behaviour outside the prayer. You will become a “torch” - a means of Light for others.!However, the world is not an easy place and people can be difficult, social interactions require patience. It can be challenging, the world is tempting with its illusions! All these are matters that require a strong belief and determination to stand on the right path and help others with wisdom. In one word, this requires “sabr” - patience and perseverance. Let’s not forget the motivation behind this - Allah loves the patient ones (Surah Al Imran, ayah 146 !

!(اهلل يحب الصـبرين)When you talk to people, turn your full attention to them; do not be proud! You are just like them. Your origin is one and you are not superior to any one. Once upon a time you did not exist and then you became a despicable “drop of water”. So what are you proud of?!Be watchful how you walk and how you speak. Neither too slow, nor too fast. Neither too loud, nor too soft! Subhanal Allah, in moderation lies the virtue. So how do we know what is moderation. My beloved readers, is not moderation the “seeratul musatqeem” - the straight path? Do we not ask for this in every salah at least 17 times a day?!

!Beloved readers, this is where, in shaa Allah I would like to finish today by asking who can show us the straight path and the conduct that will lead us to success in this world and hereafter? Only Allah SWT, He is actually on Straight Path. Surah Hud, ayah 56:!

(56. I put my trust in Allah, my Lord and your Lord! There is not a moving creature but He has the grasp of its forelock. Verily, my Lord is on the straight path (the truth).)!

!Alhamdulil Allah Rabb al alameen, wa salato wa salato wa salamo ala Rasulil Allah.!

Explanation of hadith/supplication (شرح الحديث) - Continued from last issue

Page 12: AsSabiqoon: March issue # 4

Last issue we discussed about the hadith wherein the Prophet (pbuh) taught us the dua/ supplication encompassing seen, duniya and akhirah. We analysed!each sentence to give its translation while deriving the meanings of treasure, determination, guidance on right path and sound/ peaceful heart. In this issue we will elaborately explain this beautiful hadith and the dua contained in it.!!Oh Allah I ask You for steadfastness in all my affairs !

This request includes all matters of our affairs –worldly, deen, and hereafter. To be steadfast upon them means to have the success of completing these affairs in an upright and correct way. And the greatest of steadfastness, is to be firm on deen and obedience being straight on guidance. The servant needs this the most when faced with death when the devil appears to make him astray in his final moments. It is also needed to be firm while being asked by the two angels in the grave, and while crossing the sirat on the Day of Judgement. Allah

(swt) combined all of these matters in His saying, “Allah makes steadfast those who believe with the firm speech in this life and the hereafter” (Surah Ibrahim 27). So this beautiful request includes steadfastness in all matters, times, and places.! !

And determination in following the right path includes asking Allah (swt) for following the right path in all matters of livelihood and hereafter. ‘Ar rushd’ means to be reformed for the better and to succeed in it. Determination to be on the right path is the start of all goodness, because sometimes the human knows the right path, but is not determined to be on it. So if he is determined then he will succeed. Determination is to ‘tie’ the heart & pull it all together to perform an action. There is no ability for the servant to do this without Allah (swt). Hence, it is important to ask Allah (swt) for ‘determination to follow the right path’. !!

continued on next page…!

Page 13: AsSabiqoon: March issue # 4

…continued from last page !The Prophet (pbuh) told one of the companions to say, ‘Oh Allah protect me from the evil of myself and make me determined to follow the best path in my affairs’ – (Corrected by Al Albani 896). !

The servant needs to seek the help of Allah (swt), and rely on Him to become determined, because one cannot fulfil a task without it.  As Allah (swt) say, ‘when you are determined, then rely on Allah, verily Allah loves the mutawakileen’. (Surah Al E Imran 159)!

!Ar Rushd: following the right path: !

It is to obey Allah and His messenger, as Allah (swt) says: ‘Except that Allah made you love the faith and He beautified it in your hearts, and made you hate disbelief, transgression and disobedience. Verily these are the rashidoon (those on the right path)’. (Surah Al Hujurat 7).!!

The Messenger (pbuh) used to say in his sermons: ‘Whoever obeys Allah and His messenger then he is following the right path, and whoever disobeys Allah and His

messenger, then he is astray’ – (Sahih Muslim  870).!

So ArRushd is opposite of Al Ghay, as Allah (swt) says: ‘Verily, the Right Path has become

distinct from the wrong path’ (Surah Al Baqarah 256). So whoever is not rasheedeen

then he is either heedless or astray. !!We conclude this here now and Insha Allah in the next issue we will discuss in depth about determination.!

!

“And your Lord says,

All the praises be to Allah, We thank Him, We seek His Help, and We ask for His Forgiveness. We seek refuge in Allah from the evil of ourselves and the bad consequences of our deeds, whoever Allah guides, none can misguide him, and whoever Allah lets to go astray, none can guide him. I bear witness there is no deity worthy of worship except Allah and that Mohammad is His servant and messenger.!

Parents and Productivity!Organising your Muslim Home!!Here are some tips to manage time efficiently which is an important tool in the life of a Muslim.!Tip#1: Begin with the end in mind by setting long-term goals.!Your goals shape your schedule. Imam Bukhari’s example: He wrote Sahih Al-Bukhari-one of the most authentic hadith compilations and also Adab al-Mufrad which is not a hundred percent authentic compilation

of hadiths. When he was asked the about the reason behind the difference between the two hadith compilation, he replied that the goals for the two books were different.!! !Tip #2: Focus on Allah’s pleasure!Plan your day around Salah. Don’t change your salah time according to your tasks, because through salah, one achieves Allah’s pleasure. Barakah comes only from Allah. Your goals should be to please Allah.!!Tip #3: Make du’a daily!Success is only from Allah. Dua is the weapon of the believers. So by making du’a, one can get his tasks easier and become successful. Du’a should be made constantly. Also, learn the times when du’a is accepted: The last third of the night, between adhan and iqamah, an hour on friday, while drinking Zamzam, while prostrating, during rain, dua of the one fasting at the time of breaking fast, etc.!!Tip #4: Self-discipline key!It means getting rid of bad habits like laziness or over sleeping. Make a schedule and stick to it. A weekly schedule works best but you can also make a monthly schedule or a daily one. Sticking to your schedule is crucial. We need to know what is urgent and what is important. (… to be continued)!!The Perfect Way of Life!Indeed, there is a great benefit for the slave of Allah to obey Him completely. The commands of Allah are meant to promote harmony in every aspect of our life in this dunya. So, parents must teach children about these commands, and encourage them to reflect about the wisdom behind them. In His Noble Book, Allah says: !58. O You who believe! let Your legal slaves and slave-girls, and those among You who have not come to the age of puberty ask Your permission (before they come to Your presence) on three occasions; before Fajr (morning)!!

…continued from last page !prayer, and while You put off Your clothes for the noonday (rest), and after the 'Ishâ' (late-night) prayer. (These) three times are of privacy for you, other than These times there is no sin on You or on them to move about, attending (helping) You each other. Thus Allâh makes clear the Ayât (the Verses of This Qur'ân, showing proofs for the legal aspects of permission for visits, etc.) to you. and Allâh is All-Knowing, All-Wise.!!Education: Home-Schooling - Part 3!Continuing our exploration of the different methodologies of teaching available in our present time, it is good to remind parents that the mentioned methods in this newsletter are purely informational and that they are responsible to provide an absolute islamic education and environment to their children and families. In this issue we look at the Charlotte Mason (CM)/Living Books Home Schooling Method.!!Charlotte Mason was a British educator whose teaching methods included using living books (books which written by a person with a passion for the subject, as opposed to a textbook which is merely a compilation of other people’s thoughts), narration (especially oral narration for younger children), short lessons, the development of good habits, and the study of art, nature and poetry. One of her mottos was “Education is the Science of Relations”, and another was “Education is an Atmosphere, a Discipline, a Life”. The atmosphere in this kind of approach is gentle and flexible, yet the parent guides the learning process. !!Though the following are generalisations, this home schooling method tends to work well for you if you want to create a learning environment that encourages your child to explore and appreciate the world around him, perhaps not rigidly sticking to a schedule, see a value in evaluating your child’s learning on

things other than formal written tests, want to offer a well-rounded education which includes enjoying art and nature along with lots of books, not minding being very involved in the process of your child’s education by discussing books, giving dictation, listening and encouraging narration, while enjoying poetry and art together thus, having a child who doesn’t mind having lots of boxes to check off. (…to be continued)! !Health: Treating with Ruqiyyah - Part 2!Conditions of a person who treats with Ruqyah:!1.He must have the right belief in Allah (Based

!!!!!! !!

Physical Description! He was medium to short in height and so slim that one could see bones of his fair-skinned cheek.!!Description:!Soft-Spoken, Sociable, Compassionate. People liked to talk with him. He was a seasoned traveller, a successful businessman, and knew tribe leaders. People were more familiar with Abu Bakr's face than that of Prophet (SAWS)’s. He was good at genealogy and an expert in ancestry. He was very clear headed, which was proven when the Prophet (SAWS) passed away. He was quick to apologise and ask for forgiveness. !!What can be said about Abu Bakr (RA) more than what our Prophet (SAWS) described him as: Whenever I invited anyone to Islam, He argued with me and rejected my words, except the son of Abu Quhafa. He accepted it immediately and stayed steadfast on it. The Prophet (SAWS) also said, 'Abu Bakr you should know that you will be the first to enter paradise from my ummah.’ !!Amr ibn Al-Aas narrates: The Prophet (saws) sent me to the army during the

battle of Dhat Al-Salaasil.  When I returned to him (saws), I asked him (saws):  Who is most beloved to you?  He said: "Aisha." I said: What about among men?  He said:"Her father." I said:  And then who? He said:"Then Umar ibn Al-Khattab." And then he listed some other men. Bukhari.!!The Prophet(SAWS) and Abu Bakr (RA) would meet everyday to discuss ways of spreading Islam. The would go to people and places together to deliver the message of Islam together. Wherever the  Prophet went, Abu Bakr went with him. They had a very special relationship. Indeed there was no one the Prophet (SAWS) trusted more than Abu Bakr. !!Abu Bakr was the quickest of the companions to rush to do any good deed. Umar ibn Al-Khattab said: The Prophet (SAWS) ordered us to give sadaqa, at the time of Battle of Tabook. It happened to coincide with some wealth I had just acquired and I said to myself: If I will ever surpass Abu Bakr, this is the day I will surpass him. And so I came to the Prophet (SAWS) with half of my wealth and he (SAWS) said to me:"What have you left for your family?" I said: The same amount. Then Abu Bakr came with all of his wealth. The Prophet (SAWS) said to him: "What have you left for your family?" He said:  I have left them Allah and His Messenger." I said:  I will never surpass you in anything!” (ABU DAWOOD). !!!With an amazing personality such as that of Abu Bakr (RA), we cannot do justice in just one issue. We will continue Insha Allah in the next issue with many remarkable incidents that occurred in his life making him a Real Super Star truly.

The Olive - A Health Giving Plant!…Continued from last issue!

“By the fig and the olive By Mount Sinai

By this city of security Verily, We created man in the best stature”.(95:1-4)!

!Olives have been mentioned seven times in the Qur'an and their health benefits have been propounded in Prophetic medicine. Prophet Mohammed (pbuh) is reported to have said:

“Take oil of olive and massage with it – it is a blessed tree”. [At-Tirmidhi, Ibn Maja]!!

The olive, like the date, holds great value in ancient and modern culture. From this ‘blessed’ tree hardly anything is wasted as the fruits are eaten or used to produce olive oil, the leaves

possess medicinal value and the wood is highly valued for carpentry work. The Noble Qur’an refers to some of these uses: “And a tree (olive) that springs forth from Mount Sinai,

that grows (produces) oil, and (it is) relish for the eaters”. ( 23:20 )!!Olives in Medicine & Beauty!

!The leaf of the olive tree is used for its antiviral properties. It has been traditionally used to cool fevers by boiling the leaves and concocting a tincture that is then taken orally. It was not only used to treat severe cases of fever, but tropical diseases such as malaria too. !

Olive oil is applied to the skin as it brightens the complexion, softens the skin and is used in the treatment of eczema and psoriasis. It also combats against acne. The oil procured by

burning of olive wood is effective against all fungal infection vouch as ringworm, T. Versicolor ,etc. !

Olive oil is used on the hair, especially problems relating to “dry hair and flaky scalp” as it fortifies the hair keeping it shiny and preventing dandruff, thus preventing hair-fall.!

The powder of seeds mixed with butter is effective for brittle nails.! Massaged onto the body, olives fortify the limbs, combat against inflammation, and sooth

away aches and pains from worked out muscles.!Ibn Qayyim mentions that massaging olive oil with common salt over the gums is a

remedy for several diseases of gums and teeth. He also recommended it for chronic ulcers and boils, which show difficult healing condition.!

The water extracted from the leaves with honey is used as ear drops and effective in various ear ailments.!

!The benefits of this blessed fruit are vast and not availing of it would seem meaningless. We

end here now and pray that Allah keeps us in the best of health always. Ameen.
