Today we explored the sights and sounds of Asia. It is the largest and most populated continent on Earth. Over 4 billion people live there. There are over 50 countries that make up Asia and China is the most populated country. We ate rice today that most of the 4 billion people eat on a daily basis. What fun! We're off to Europe tomorrow.

In Japan people can eatchocolate dipped grasshoppers and fried caterpillars.

In Laos some people like eating insects.

• The Tangram comes from Asia.

• Asia is home to the highest point in the world - Mt Everest in Nepal and the lowest point in the world – the Dead Sea.

• More than half of Asia’s population live in just two countries – India and China
