• ASIA Winter Workshop •The ASIA Program Committee has planned a great workshop in a wonderful venue - the Brimingham Sheraton in downtown Birmingham. Park your car in the adjacent deck and spend the night at the Sheraton, have dinner and fun with your clients/peers at one of the many restaurants in Uptown Entertainment District, which is attached to the Sheraton and Westin Hotels. We will feature numerous speakers addressing workers comp, health insurance, employee benefits and why companies need to start coordinating all of these employee programs. We anticipate having over 300 HR, WC and health insurance professionals on hand as we discuss the latest developments in workers comp, employee benefits, new case law and laws that impact Alabama employers. The Workshop will be held at the Sheraton Birmingham Hotel and we encourage everyone attending to get a room there, so you can park your car in the deck, enjoy learning and networking with your peers without worrying about traffic, snow, ice or parking.

The program begins on Thursday with the Tradeshow and Registration opening at 9:00 a.m., followed by the opening session at 10:00 a.m. We will provide lunch in the show hall and finish our professional development sessions at 4:00 p.m., allowing plently of time to enjoy the Tradeshow before heading home.

The Tradeshow will feature a Silent Auction to benefit ASIA’s political action committee, COMP PAC. COMP PAC plays a leading role in helping conservative candidates win seats on Circuit Courts, the Alabama Court of Civil Appeals and the Alabama Supreme Court. Friday morning begins with a continental breakfast in the Tradeshow, followed by another professional development session.

Each exhibitor is asked to bring an item for the Silent Auction valued at $100 or more. The item will stay at your booth for bidding so attendees have to come to you to bid! The better the item, the more traffic you get!

Each booth is 8’ deep and 10’ wide and includes full pipe and drape, one 6’ x 24” skirted table, two chairs, one wastebasket and a stan-dard ID sign. Our decorator is George Fern Exposition & Event Services. Booth set-up can be contracted through them and all shipping arrangements must be made directly through them. Any special requests for your booth must also be directed to Fern Expo by calling them at (615) 256-0357.

Booth set-up can begin on Thursday morning, February 2nd at 7:00 a.m. We have planned 5 1/2 hours of tradeshow time and all food and beverage events have been planned during tradeshow hours inside the exhibit hall to offer exhibitors maximum exposure. All ex-hibitors will be automatically eligible for door prize drawings when you register. The tradeshow will be closed during all professional development sessions.
