Relied upon by countless players including the Foo Fighters Nate
Mendel (featured), the ABM(Ashdown Bass Magnifier) EVO 111
rangeencompasses 575W and 900W heads, a pair ofcombos and a full
range of cabinets.
ABM bass amps are designed to satisfy both bass-purists and
tech-heads alike.Three straightforward rotary tone controls provide
20dB of cut and boost at 60Hz,660Hz and 5kHz, and are supplemented
by two pairs of additional sliders giving15dB cut and boost at
180Hz, 340Hz, 1.3kHz and 2.6kHz. The EQ can be switchedin/out by a
footswitch, enabling players to go from a f lat fretless sound to a
boostedsound via a favourite EQ setting. A single input is
switchable for passive and activeinstruments with a blend of solid
state and dual triode tube preamp stages whichcan be preset and
selected by footswitch, providing access to a massive range
ofclean, warm and overdriven tones.
Also footswitchable is the on-board compressor and the mighty
Ashdown sub-harmonic generator which precisely tracks the main
signal and reproduces it anoctave lower. A sub-harmonic level
control enables the player to add just the rightamount of low-end
reinforcement - everything from a subtle, thickening of the soundto
unbridled, bone crushing tone.

ABM 900 EVO 111Like all ABM heads and combos, the575W + 575W ABM
900 EVO 111 headfeatures a front-panel mounted balancedDI out with
pre or post EQ switching, asub-bass output, a tuner output, an
FXloop and a line input for the connectionof an external sampler or
sound source.Output muting cuts the signal from theDI output but
leaves the tuner output'live', allowing the player to tune up
insilence. A new upgraded power sectionhas faster transient attack,
moreheadroom and even less noise.

developed to achieve a superb balance ofpower, transparency and
deep, controlled low end, without sacrificing any of the mid-band
attack and high-end brightness that are so important in a modern

Constructed from high-grade birch ply and protected by a tough,
buffalo leather clothcovering, metal corners and steel grilles, ABM
Cabinets use high quality handles infavour of inferior f lip
handles which can rattle after years of use. Vibration is reduced
byheavy-duty rubber feet. ABM 610 and 810 cabinets are tilt-back
designs, incorporatingbar handles, castors, kick plates and slide

ABM C210H-500 EVO 111The ABM C210H-500 EVO 111 combo combines
the features of the ABM 500 EVO111 head with a pair of 10" Ashdown
BlueLine drivers with an HF horn. Theprecision tuned cabinet is
constructed from high-grade birch ply, protected by atough, buffalo
leather cloth covering, metal corners and steel grilles.
Heavy-dutyrubber feet are used to reduce vibration. Like all ABM
EVO 111 amps, theamplifier chassis is built from heavy-duty 16 swg
zinc coated mild steel, foil linedto minimise interference.
ABM C115H-500 EVO 111Just like the ABM C210H combo, the 1x15" +
HF horn-equipped C115H combo ispacked with all the ABM features
7-band rotary + slider tone control, variabletube grind, built-in
compressor and sub-harmonic generator, DI output,extensive
performance footswitching and, of course, the classic
Ashdownilluminated VU meter.

It was actually Ashdowns more affordable ampsthat legendary Jam
bassist Bruce Foxton (featured)fell in love with when he discovered
an EB comboin his local music store.
Weve kitted Bruce out with an ABM rig since then, but his love
of the MAG/EBamps proves that it is possible to get great Ashdown
tone on a reduced budget. Atthe heart of the MAG/EB heads and
combos lies a feature-packed bass preamp withrotary bass, middle
and treble controls, along with supplementary rotary
controlsproviding 15dB of cut and boost at 220Hz and 1.6kHz.
Additionally, front panel pushswitches for Bright and Deep settings
provide instant access to attacking and warm,rounded sounds
respectively and, on the subject of low-end response, thetrademark
Ashdown sub-harmonic generator is ready and able to deliver truck
loadsof earth moving tone if called upon.
With the MAGs and EBs now achieving EVO 11 status, the

Why should guitarists have allthe fun? Ashdown Bass
EffectsPedals are designed specificallyfor bass players and feature
truebypass switching to ensureabsolute signal integrity.
The Bass Effects range encompasses 6 pedals,including the James
LoMenzo HyperDrive.
In the LoMenzo Hyper Drive, a band of frequencieswithin the
midrange of the bass signal is filtered outand the distortion
effect is added only to this band. Thefiltered frequencies can be
tuned to the precise rangethat gives the optimum effect. The degree
of distortionavailable is variable from a subtle break up to
hugeoverdrive, enabling a new range of extreme effects forbass to
be created. The distortion effect can then bemixed with the
original dry bass signal to maintain apowerful, full-bodied bass
tone with distortionovertones.

FS-Dual CompAshdowns Dual BandCompressor splits the signalinto
high and low frequencybands and applies compressionseparately to
both fast attackand decay for the highfrequency and slow attack
anddecay for the low frequency orfundamental waveform of thenote.
The amount ofcompression applied to each isindependently variable
and thebalance between the high andlow frequency components ofthe
signal is also controllableas they are re-combined into asingle,
full range output.
FS-Sub OctaveThis earth-shattering pedalgenerates a note one
octavebelow the note being played, atthe same volume and based
onthe waveform of the originalsignal. By blending the sub-octave
note with the originalsignal, bass players can movefrom a subtle
reinforcement ofthe sound to truckloads ofbone-crushing tone. As
afurther plus, distortion can beadded to the sub-octave note,with
the amount and tonalcharacteristics of the distortionboth
adjustable by the player.
FS-Drive PlusAshdowns Bass Drive Pluspedal generates a wide
rangeof bass distortion effects from aslight grunge through to
noholds barred, high-gainoverdrive. The Drive controlsets the
amount of distortion,Distortion Tone adjusts itscharacter and
Distortion Levelbalances the amount of theeffect with the clean
basssignal.
FS-Envelopets time to get funky with theAshdown Envelope
Filter.Capable of a wide range ofeffects from auto-wah throughto
spaced-out, auto-triggeredfunky tones, the sweep of thefilter can
be either up or downwith selection of band-pass orhigh pass filter
modes. A peakcontrol is provided to deepenthe Q for more extreme
effectsand the depth of the effect iscontrolled by the volume
ofeach note as its played, makingthis a truly creative anddynamic
pedal.
FS-ChorusA high-quality chorus, just forbass players. In
