This is in addition to the ISO 9001:2008 certification the company has held since 2011. The AS9100C standard fully incorporates the requirements of ISO 9001:2008 in addition to adding new requirements specific to the highly regulated aerospace and defense industry. The AS9100 Quality Management System (QMS) standard promotes continuous product and process improvement in these industries and ensures that specific processes are used in the manufacture of production components. “Our entire team at Metal Technology has been fully committed to achieving AS9100 certification, it represents a critical milestone accomplished to take our organization’s performance to an even higher level,” said Pam Montellano, Vice President – Controller. “We’ve always been dedicated to ensuring MTI’s performance and quality meets our customers’ most challenging applications, and this certification exemplifies our pursuit of continuous improvement.” The AS9100 certification further strengthens MTI’s competitive position and provides our customers with high confidence in our processes.
