Where the foundations of our world are shaking, remind us of the strength of your love.

Where there are tears of grief, remind us that you share in our lament and heartbreak.

Where hostility dominates the landscape, remind us of the beauty of respecting and listening to

one another.

Where darkness and despair seems to prevail, remind us that Jesus is the light of the world.

And as we bring these prayers for peace to you O God,remind us that we are your hands

and feet in your world.

And so teach us to choose peace in our own lives. To choose forgiveness and love.

Today, this Christmas and each day beyond that.

Amen.
