ACADEMICS• Ten of 14 ACC Football teams earned a graduation success rate (GSR) at or above the FBS average of 76. That ties for fi rst among Power 5 conferences, both in terms of percentage and in total number.
• The ACC remains the only Power 5 conference to have multiple teams score 90 or higher in GSR each year since 2005. Duke (96) and Virginia Tech (90) reached that plateau last year.
• In the 2018 U.S. News and World “Best Colleges” rankings, ACC member schools combine for an average rank of 54.7, marking the 12th straight year that the ACC has led all Power 5 conferences.
ATHLETICS• The ACC is the only conference to win national championships in football, men’s basketball, women’s basketball and baseball over the last four years.
• The ACC has won a combined four football and men’s basketball national titles over the last fi ve years, twice as many as any other conference.
• The ACC has had a team in either the College Football Playoff or the BCS National Championship Game in each of the past fi ve years.
• The ACC led all conferences with 10 bowl teams in 2017. Over the last two years, the ACC has had a nation’s best 21 teams in bowl games.
• The ACC has earned at least six bowl bids in 17 consecutive seasons. The league ranks second among all conferences with 116 total bowl appearances since 2005.
• Since 2013, the ACC is second among all con-ferences with 54 postseason appearances, has the second-best record of any conference in BCS, New Year’s Six and CFP games, and is tied for the most national championships (Florida State in 2013, Clemson in 2016).
• Over the last fi ve years, the ACC is 14-6 in games against the SEC on rivalry week, which features Clemson-South Carolina, Florida State-Florida, Georgia Tech-Georgia and Louisville-Kentucky.
• Two of the last fi ve national champions have come from the ACC, and the league has had a team in the national championship game in three of the last fi ve years. Both are tied for the most from any conference.
• An ACC football player has won the Heisman Tro-phy or the Campbell Trophy – commonly referred to as the “Academic Heisman” – in four of the last fi ve years, something no other league can claim.
BOWL ELIGIBILITYTen ACC teams are bowl eligible, including Clemson (12-0), Syracuse (9-3), NC State (8-3), Boston College (7-5), Duke (7-5), Virginia (7-5), Georgia Tech (7-5), Pitt (7-5), Miami (7-5) and Wake Forest (6-6). Virginia Tech (5-6) is one win away from postseason eligibility and plays Marshall on Saturday at noon. A win would extend the nation's longest active bowl streak to 26. The ACC leads all conferences with 21 bowl bids over the last two years (11 in 2016, 10 in 2017).
With last week's win over Duke, Wake Forest is bowl eligible for the third consecutive season, matching the longest streak in school history.
Duke is bowl eligible for the sixth time in the last seven years.
Virginia is bowl eligible in back-to-back years for the fi rst time in 14 seasons, when the Cavaliers went to bowl games in 2002, 2003, 2004 and 2005.
Syracuse is bowl eligible for the fi rst time since 2013.
Clemson is bowl eligible for the 14th consecutive season.

Last Meeting: Pitt 43, Clemson 42 (Nov. 12, 2016)James Conner’s 20-yard touchdown run with 5:17 left inched the Panthers into striking range and Chris Blewitt -- after a kiss on the cheek from coach Pat Nar-duzzi -- struck a perfect, 48-yard fi eld goal with six seconds left for the winning points as Pitt stunned the No. 2-ranked and eventual national champion Tigers at Death Valley. It was Pitt’s highest-ranked win since defeating Backyard Brawl rival, No. 2 West Virginia, 13-9 in 2007 and spoiling the Mountaineers’ chances at playing for the national title. Panthers QB Nathan Peterman had a career-best fi ve TD passes and 308 yards. Conner rushed for 132 yards and a touchdown. He also caught one of Peterman’s scoring throws. Clemson QB Deshaun Watson threw for an ACC record 580 yards and three touchdowns.

The Tigers, who have posted their eighth-straight double-digit win season and the seventh undefeated regular season in school history, seek their 18th ACC football champi-onship • Clemson has claimed the ACC title each of previous three seasons and four times overall under 11th-year head coach Dabo Swinney • Clemson’s 17 ACC titles are the most in league history, two ahead of Florida State’s 15 • The Tigers are appearing in the Dr Pepper ACC Football Championship Game for the sixth time overall and claimed their third straight title last year with a 38-3 win over No. 8 Miami in Charlotte • The Tigers set a Dr Pepper ACC Championship Game mark in 2017 with four different players scoring rushing touchdowns • Clemson joined Florida State (2012-14) as the only teams to win three straight ACC Championship Games • In addition to what would be a fourth straight ACC title, a win by this year’s Clemson team on Saturday night would almost certainly clinch a spot in the four-team College Football Playoff for the fourth straight year • Swinney owns 113 wins in less than 11 full seasons as Clemson’s head coach • Swinney hit the century mark with win at rival South Carolina to close the 2017 regular season, and the Tigers have suffered just one loss since • The Tigers have won 55 of their last 59 games • Clemson’s 2018 senior class owns a .929 winning percentage, which far outpaces the school record set of .877 set by the 2017 seniors • The 2018 senior class is attempting to become the fi rst in school history to fi eld a winning percentage of .900 or better • Clem-son earned its 100th win of the decade with its 56-35 win over South Carolina in last Saturday night’s regular-season fi nale • Clemson’s 100-22 record in the 2010s already represents the winningest decade in Clemson history, far surpassing the 87-25-4 mark set in the 1980s • Clemson joined Alabama and Ohio State as the only FBS schools to win 100 games this decade • RB Travis Etienne has now posted only the fourth 1,300-yard rushing season in school history, joining Wayne Gallman in 2015 and Raymond Priester in both 1995 and 1996 • Etienne has 1,307 rushing yards so far this season • DT Christian Wilkins has played in 56 career games to tie Dorian O’Daniel (2014-17) for second-most in school history • Wilkins is one game shy of tying fullback Chad Diehl’s school record of 57 games played from 2007-11 • Senior OT Mitch Hyatt has been named the ACC Jacobs Blocking Trophy winner for the second consecutive season.
Coastal Division Champion
The Panthers are set for their fi rst Dr Pepper ACC Football Championship Game since joining the conference in 2013 • Pitt will be the sixth team to represent the Coastal Divi-sion in the game in the last six years • The Panthers seek their third overall conference championship after claiming a share of the Big East Conference title in both 2004 and 2010 • Pitt competed as an independent from 1890 through 1990 • The Panthers have won both of their previous meetings against Clemson • The schools fi rst met in the 1977 Gator Bowl, with Pitt winning by a 34-3 margin • QB Matt Cavanaugh passed for four touchdowns and 387 yards before a record crowd of 72,289 and a national television audience to lead the Panthers • The teams next met as ACC mem-bers in November of 2016, where PK Chris Blewitt’s late fi eld goal lifted Pitt to a stunning one-point win over the second-ranked and previously unbeaten Tigers • This year’s Panther squad has displayed a strong rushing attack that ranks third in the ACC behind only Georgia Tech and Clemson • Qadree Ollison ranks third among ACC rushers with 1,134 yards • Fellow RB Darrin Hall ranks eighth and is closing in on 1,000 yards with 935 for the season • Pitt running backs have lost only one fumble this season • Maurice Ffrench ranks third nationally in kickoff returns (29.0 per attempt, two touchdowns) • After dropping a three-point decision at North Carolina in their second ACC outing on Sept. 22, the Panthers posted wins in each of their next fi ve confer-ence games to claim the Coastal Division crown • The Panthers secured their spot in Charlotte with a 34-13 win at Wake Forest on Nov. 17 • Sophomore QB Kenny Pickett’s 316 passing yards against the Demon Deacons were the most by a Pitt QB against confer-ence opposition since Tom Savage threw for 424 yards at Duke on Sept. 21, 2013 • Pitt’s impressive mid- to late-season stretch also included a tough 19-14 road loss at unbeaten and now No. 3 Notre Dame on Oct. 13 • Pitt is 9-3 against the Atlantic Division since join-ing the ACC • The Panthers are 14-3 under head coach Pat Narduzzi when limiting their opponents to less than 100 yards rushing • Narduzzi’s Pitt teams are 2-0 against teams ranked among the nation’s top two • In addi-tion to the win at Clemson in 2016, the Pan-thers defeated No. 2 Miami in the fi nal regular-season game of 2017 • Narduzzi’s 28 wins through his fi rst four years is the program’s third-best over the past six decades, trailing only Johnny Majors and Jackie Sherrill.
