The Chesapeake Chapter was formed to provide a focal point for dissemination of Systems Engineering knowledge to members in Northern and Central Maryland and Southern Pennsylvania.
PURPOSEThe purpose of the Chesapeake Chapter is to foster the definition, understanding, and practice of world class systems engineering in industry, academia, and government. The Chapter provides a focal point for dissemination of systems engineering knowledge, and through involvement with the International Council on Systems Engineering we:
GOALS and OBJECTIVES Ensure the existence of professional standards
for the practice of systems engineering,
Improve the professional status of all persons engaged in the practice of systems engineering,
Encourage governmental and industrial collaboration and support for research and educational programs that will improve the systems engineering process and its practice, and
Promote the acquisition and exchange of information on new technology, methods and practices within the systems engineering community.
UniversitiesThe Chesapeake Chapter frequently engages with local universities such as UMD-College Park, JHU, UMD-Baltimore County. These engagements take
the form of Special Events, Sponsorships, and Collaborations adding value for both the chapter
members and the students of the institutions.Scholarships
The Chesapeake Chapter sponsors scholarships to engineering students within the
greater Baltimore region.
Corporate and Professional SupportThe Chesapeake Chapter has over 400
members, representing over 75 Corporations, Government agencies,
Universities, and Consultants.

opportunities to network, good food and interesting door prizes. Join us every 3rd
Wednesday – typically at JHU APL at 6 PM for dinner and 7 PM for the free lecture.
