You both must be fairly opposite in at LEAST 2 AREAS.

have. They have already provided project preferences. You should write down your top 5 client choice
preferences with NUMBERING on the back of your strength mining sheets (that are stapled together). Example:

SMALL ceramic piece for them. This could be a small talisman, logo,
paperweight or such for business…but it is up to you and the client.

How to Interview Clients Be PREPARED
Dress PROFESSIONALLY! Have questions ready! (make sure you know everything
you want to know before you leave!) Have paper and pencil and paper ready for taking notes!
Be EARLY/ON TIME Take the APPROPRIATE amount of time (20-
30minutes) Ask CLARIFYING QUESTIONS to make sure you are
understanding what they want LISTEN more than TALKING BE CONFIDENT!!! BE THANKFUL!!! BE POSITIVE!!!

BEGINNING YOUR INTERVIEW! SMILE, MAKE EYE CONTACT, AND SHAKE THEIR HANDS! Thank them for agreeing to be your client and meet with
you! Introduce yourselves and that you work for

FINISHING THE INTERVIEW Explain overall process
Sketches done in a couple days A design proposal will be emailed or brought in person (up to the client) Must be approved Begin construction Will contact with any questions, concerns, etc during the process. Pieces will need to dry then be fired in the kiln Glazing will be done and it will be fired again There will be a brief show of all artworks for a couple days They will be able to pick up their works after the show (dates provided
in the near future) When finished, they will receive an email that evaluates their
performance on this job Client – are there any other questions you have about clay or this project? Thank them for their time and the opportunity Tell them when you will contact them again…. HAVE A GOOD DAY!
