• PVA: in small containers• Sand: in small pots• Acrylic paint: 2 colours and WHITE: put on tiles• Linseed oil• String• Different types of paper: tracing paper, sugar paper,

card)• Masking tape• 4 polystyrene• Handful on flowers, leaves and grass, bark’s• Canvas squares• Tiles to put paint on

Task: To experiment and be creative in how to create the particular surface/texture

• 5-10 mins: Mind-mapping• 15 mins: Experimenting to create the most accurate

textures• 10 mins: Everyone to walk around and make

suggestions about how each piece can be improved on a piece of lined paper…..

• 30 mins: Refining the best experimentation. Record this on a piece of paper how you have created the

texture/surface step by step.• 10 mins: each going up and sharing what you have

done: others to guess how you have created the texture: what material you have used to create the texture
