36.1 Phylum Arthropoda

• Largest animal phylum

• insects, spiders, shrimp, and centipedes

Characteristics

• “jointed legs”

• Have body segments w/

appendages

Skeletal Structure

• Have an exoskeleton

• Made of protein &
