John A. Di Castri Born in Victoria, John Di Castri showed an interest in the Arts from an early age, becoming a talented modern architect, writer, musician and skillful painter. Di Castri studied at the University of Oklahoma, under Lloyd Wright’s apprentice, Bruce Goff. Returning to Victoria, Di Castri led an architectural practice that ushered in the modernist movement, displayed in some of Victoria's most well-trodden landmarks. His architectural works include the CNIB Building (’51), Trend House (’54), Margaret and Romeo Desjardins House (’55), the Mosaic Building (’63), Centennial Square (’63), UVic Cornett Building (’66), and the Addition to the Royal B.C. Museum (‘96).
Committed to the fulfillment of man's need for a significant environment, Di Castri injected modernism, low profile, and organic design into Victoria's architectural landscape. Di Castri has been named an honorary citizen by the City of Victoria.

Cam Kidd Cam’s paintings develop from a diverse collection of drawings that he endeavours to transform into something structurally similar.
His current work is part of a long-term exploration of colour and subject matter. Inspired by randomness, lucidity and the continually changing possibilities of thought, he is always trying to create something visually new. Cam will be showing his work at Polychrome Fine Art in the new year. Opening: Thursday January 22nd, 7-9pm.
