What are our learning aims for this lesson?

Understand the features of what a ‘monster’ may look like, using the description of The Gruffalo in the book.

To look at drawings created by the artist of The Gruffalo (Alex Scheffler) to gain inspiration and build a sculpture using clay of what you think a ‘monster’ looks like.

To use clay and build a sculpture to develop and share your ideas of you think a ‘monster’ is (National Curriculum 2013, pg. 177)
