Mise-En-Scene

There is not much mise-en-scene in the opening credits of Nerve although lots of technology is shown. In post production most of the titles are made with animations and editing software. The only real thing we see in the opening sequence is a photo taken on the social media platform called Snapchat where they have taken a picture of the co-producers names with the caption: ‘omar chillin with the co-producers title card :P’.

Sounds and Vision

The soundtrack is made mostly with computer sounds and but it comes with sound effects from the different animations seen when the names pop up. For example there are button noises when someone is editing something on a notepad as well as button sounds when someone is typing on a phone keyboard.

Narrative

The audience is drawn in with the catchy beat of the music as well as the titles being timed within the music to change names or change animation. The audience are also drawn in with the bright colours of the names as well as the flashing lights and unique animations.
