Paul Gauguin’s Art World

Paul Gauguin was a successful stockbroker. He was a self-taught artist.

Gauguin was inspired by the Impressionists.

Gauguin learned how to paint from Pissaro, and he was a friend of Van Gogh.

Gauguin left Europe and went to Tahiti. There, he started using vivid colors and flat forms in his paintings.

There lived a family of three, a daughter, a farmer, and his wife.They lived on a farm their whole life.

The wife and daughter helped in the house.They lived together with a dog, a cat, and a mouse.

The farmer would pull out the weeds.He would then plant the seeds.

He planted turnip seeds. They were the best.He did not care about the rest.

He said to the seeds, “Grow, grow, turnips, big and strong.Grow, grow, quickly. Don’t take long.”

The seeds were planted. The wife and the girl were glad.Now they would wait, and that wasn’t bad.

They said to the seeds, “Grow, grow, turnips, big and strong.Grow, grow, quickly. Don’t take long.”

The dog, the cat, and the mouse played all day.They danced in the garden to pass the time away.

Soon, the farmer let everyone know,“Look! The turnips have started to grow.”
