HELEN HIGH ENERGY PHYSICS LATINOAMERICAN EUROPEAN NETWORK 1. The HELEN PRIZE is established for Doctoral Theses in Particle Physics or Engineering done during the HELEN Program, with the support of a HELEN Grant. 2. Prizes consisting each in 1500 E and a Diploma will be attributed to: a. The Best Doctoral Thesis in Experimental Particle Physics; b. The Best Doctoral Thesis in Theoretical Particle Physics; c. The Best Doctoral Thesis in the Technologies of Particle Physics. 3. A Diploma of HELEN Excellence will be attributed to the next two best Theses in each category a, b and c. 4. Prize Winners must be or have been HELEN Grant-Holders, with an assigned work-program related to the argument of the Doctoral Thesis submitted. 5. The Prizes will be attributed by the Standing Executive Committee of HELEN, upon proposal of the Scientific Advisory Committee. 6. Doctoral Theses shall be valued on the sole criterion of scientific excellence. 7. The names of the Prize Winners will be posted on the HELEN Websites: http://www.roma1.infn.it/exp/helen/ http://vega.fis.cinvestav.mx/%7Ehelen/helen.html 8. The Doctoral Thesis, in its original language, must be sent electronically (PDF format) to: [email protected] , accompanied by the following documents (also in PDF format): a. Date, place and responsible Academic Authority that has approved the Thesis; b. An abstract in English (not more than 2 pages); c. A list of publications and communications to Conferences on the arguments of Thesis, made by the Candidate; d. An evaluation by the Thesis Advisor on the quality of the Thesis and its connection to the HELEN Program (in English, 1 page). 9. Doctoral Theses and the submitted documents will be examined at CERN by the HELEN Scientific Advisory Committee that shall submit a univocal proposal, with motivation, to the HELEN Standing Executive Committee. 10. 1. The HELEN PRIZE is established for Doctoral Theses in Particle Physics or
