A Question
What do you think is the difference between
• Coaching
• Mentoring
• Consulting
This talk is inspired by…
Now, lets Come to Agile
o What is Agile
o A mind-set, yes, this seems to be the most logical answer
o We all deal with knowledge workers
o If Agile is a mind-set, then Agile transformation should
be about
o Yes, changing the mind-set
o This means, change the way people think
o So, should we not focus on understanding how we think?
Let’s look at the Human Brain
• It’s a series of connections of neurons
• Builds maps
• Brain processes information and gathers information
bases on these maps/connections
• The more maps we create on a day to day basis, the
more intelligent we become
• Out “THINKING” is nothing but, validating existing
connections, and building newer connections everyday
• Literally, what we are, is a set of connections in our brain
The Iceberg
In Essence, we need to alter the thinking of the individual / Organization that is to be coached
Lets do a small activity

• There are a few cards kept at your table
• Feel free to refer to them
