Separate Certification is required for each product line wishing to be designated as certified ARCTIC TESTED ALASKA TOUGH™. For automobile certification a separate “description of product(s)” must be completed for each automobile model meeting the certification requirements. Your certification includes up to 6 product lines, and Investor Status with the Fairbanks Economic Development Corporation. Investor Status with the FEDC must be renewed on a yearly basis. Yearly renewal of FEDC Investor status will maintain the certification for up to 5 years. After 5 years a renewal application must be filed for each product line wishing to continue use of the ARCTIC TESTED ALASKA TOUGH™ certification. Parties requesting certification are responsible for providing the site where the product was tested, manufac- tured or produced. Once the application for certification has been received the President of the Fairbanks Economic Develop- ment Corporation will make the determination and notify the requesting party in writing of the decision. Certification as ARCTIC TESTED ALASKA TOUGH™ is reserved for products that have been tested,
manufactured or produced to withstand the climate and conditions of interior Alaska. If you have any
questions about your product’s eligibility please contact the Fairbanks Economic Development Corporation
prior to filling out the application for certification.
Certification as ARCTIC TESTED ALASKA TOUGH™ will be issued to applicants who meet ALL of the following criteria: 1. test, manufacture or produce products within a 200 mile radius of Fairbanks, AK; and
2. test their products within a 200 mile radius of Fairbanks, Alaska successfully, at a minimum exposure of -20oF, for a minimum of 7 consecutive days; and
3. provide the site where the testing, manufacturing or production took place; and
4. submit a completed application and applicable fees
