The U.S. will add a quarter-of-a-million new jobs in architecture and engineering by 2020. Even the construction industry, which posted deep reductions in its workforce over the past several years, is expected to see brighter days ahead. According to the experts, jobs in construction are expected to increase nationwide by 2020. Also good news, many of these are well-paying jobs. It is anticipated there will be jobs in skilled trades such as electricians, plumbers, surveyors, and HVAC (heating, ventilation, and air conditioning). Many of these careers are growing increasingly “green,” as workers master techniques, materials, and systems that define sustainability.
