POST OCCUPANCY EVALUATION
(POE)
Purpose
To seek information and feedback that will help educators and the design team evaluate how well the design serves the educational program.
It is best to conduct the POE when the facility is occupied for one year.
Key Issues
•Is the facility being used in the manner for which it was designed?
•Does the facility address the educational program and students as it was designed to do?
•If you were to build the same school, how would you design it differently to meet the needs of the students? Which features currently address the needs and which ones would be better redesigned or reconfigured?
