Model 40/40I ( IR3) can detect a 1ft 2 (0.1m 2 ) gasoline pan fire at 215 ft (65m) in less than 5 seconds. Model (40/40I) has considerable durability and weather-related resistance, and is comprised of the following characteristics: Heated window, eliminating condensation and icing Highway Addressable Remote Transducer (HART) capabilities, for digital communications low-power requirements A compact, lighter design Due to increased reliability, Model 40/40I is SIL2 (TUV) Approved to IEC 61508.
