Good Samaritan Outreach ProjectThe Archdiocese of Regina has
volunteers from all around the diocese who are willing to reach out
if you are in need. If you need groceries or essential items but
are ill, immobile or quarantined and so not able to leave the house
AT ALL (noting that NONE of us should be leaving more than
absolutely necessary!) please contact us and we will set you up
with a volunteer who can help. Please also contact us if you live
alone and are feeling lonely and isolated. We can arrange for
someone to check in on you by phone. We are committed to operating
in such a way that the Health Canada Guidelines, and provincial
Public Health Orders from our Chief Medical Officer and provincial
government are strictly adhered to. If you need some assistance
please email [email protected] at anytime. OR call
306-541-3086 between 9-5 Tuesday-Saturday.
TF186: Suffering, Redemption, and the Cross - Part 1Was the
cross really necessary for our salvation, and how is it that one
man’s death obtained salvation for humanity? As Holy Week begins,
Deacon Eric and Dr. Brett discuss these questions and more.Show
snippet: “...also the things he said in the resurrection
appearances, especially Luke 24 and the road to Emmaus when he’s
explaining, we’re told, the law and prophets...then what he said at
the Last supper starts to register. So much so that when they get
to Emmaus...something is starting to
click.”http://thinkingfaith.libsyn.com/suffering-redemption-and-the-cross-part-2

“Set your minds on things that are above, not on things that are
on earth.” (Colossians 3:2)
Do you put God first in all things? Possessions, money, power,
ego can easily become gods to many of us. Do a quick check of what
is important to you. Is God at the very top of the list? If not,
your priorities need to be re-adjusted. Don’t let earthly things
become a god before God. This is also the first commandment – I am
the Lord your God, you shall not have any strange gods before
me.

Table Prayer for the Easter SeasonDuring the Easter season,
place the family’s Christ candle in the center of the table.
Alternate prayer leader and candle lighter throughout the
season.
Reader:“Praise God, the Father of our Lord Jesus Christ. God is
so good, and by raising Jesus from death, he has given us new life
and a hope that lives on.” (1Peter 1:3)
Leader: Reassuring God, When we hear about the Resurrection, we
are like the disciples. We believe. But when we feel pain and when
we see suffering, we are like Thomas. We have doubts, we wonder
where you are. Give new life to our faith. Help this family to
trust in you. Help us to hear those who give witness to your love.
Help us to believe in the Resurrection and become your presence for
others.
Blessing over the FoodLoving God, bless those who gather around
this table. Help us to reach out to the pain and suffering we see
around us. Amen.
