2.12 How does IQAC Contribute/Monitor/Evaluate the Teaching & Learning processes:

1) The IQAC in coordination with the examination branch of the college prepares time tables /question papers and monitors the conduct of Unit / Half yearly / Pre-Final examinations. Italso monitors the evaluation process and tabulates the marks with special emphasis on theacademic progression of each student.

2) The IQAC suggests the members of faculty about the conduct of curricular / co-curricularactivities in their respective departments and monitors the conduct of these programmes.

The IQAC has put in efforts to promote research attitude among the members of staff and alsothe students. NCC Cadets under the supervision of the Police department were deployed forelection and Ganesh immersion Bandobust duties

During the NSS Mega Camp clean and green programme was taken up by the NSSvolunteers in the premises of Munsif Magistrate Court, Government Hospital, MandalParishad Office, Mandal Revenue Office & Other Government Offices.

The Students, Volunteers of NSS, NCC Cadets, Members of staff & Principal donatedan amount of Rs. 15,000 towards help to the flood victims of Uttara Khand to thePrime Minister Relief Fund that was acknowledged and appreciated by the office ofthe Prime Minister of India in the form of a letter.

All books, magazines, journal and news papers are made available in the library for theuse of the students.

Career Guidance Cell Plays a key role in arranging seminars, lectures and individualcounselling with information as to how to face competitive examinations.

The career Guidance Cells also provides information pertaining to prospects of highereducation especially the PGCET.

Women Empowerment Cell organized sensitization programmes On campus medical examination and counselling to women students and staff was

organized International Women’s Day is celebrated every year by organizing rallies, seminars

and lectures The department of Physical Education along with the Women Empowerment Cell

Provided Physical and mental fitness training to the women students. Women students are encouraged to participate in all the activities on par with their

The vision of the institution is to provide and promote higher education to the poor,deprived, rural and tribal people of a very backward rain fed and drought prone region.

The mission of the institution is ‘Saa Vidya Yaa Vimukthaye’ that means ‘Education forEmancipation’.

The college has no role in the planning and development of curriculum as it is under the purview of the affiliating university, Mahatma Gandhi University, Nalgonda.However the members of faculty attend departmental meeting convened by the respectiveBoard of studies of the department in the university in which they make suggestions in thecurriculum and syllabi.

The college is making meticulous use of 15 Regular teaching faculty among whom 13 are Asst.Professors and 02 are Associate Professors.Among the 15 three hold post doctoral degrees.01 member of teaching faculty is a contract lecturer and another is a Part – Time lecturerworking on court orders.05 Members of teaching are Guest faculty.In the non-teaching staff 03 are regular employees and 04 are working on temporary basis 02members are working as technical staff

The regular faculty of the college is recruited by the CCE in two methods1 direct recruitment through an entrance test conducted by the state Public Service Commissionand2 through transfer posting from the cadre of Junior Lecturers working in Government JuniorColleges in the state.In both the methods the state Government follows the order of merit and rule of reservationscrupulously and completes the recruitment procedure.Contract Faculty: The Regional Joint Director of Collegiate Eduction is vested with the powersof recruitment of contract faculty in the existing vacancies of Government Degree Colleges.Guest Faculty: The Principal of the college is permitted to appoint guest faculty in the selectedsubjects depending on the availability of vacant positions and work load. The Principal notifiesthe vacancies in the local newspapers and invites applications from eligible candidates. Theselection committee comprising of the Principal as chairman and senior faculty as membersselect the candidates according to the order of merit and preferably after securing the opinion ofthe stakeholders – the students through a demonstration by the eligible candidates.Non-Teaching Staff : The regular non teaching staff are recruited by the department i.e., theCommissioner of Collegiate Education of the state government.The temporary members of non-teaching are selected by the institutional level selectioncommittee comprising of the Principal as chairman, senior faculty, members of CPDC andothers as members.

Vanamahotsavam: A massive plantation camp was taken up during the NSS Mega Camp The college is located in a pollution free environment surrounded with the ‘Devarakonda

The college has prepared Annual Institutional plan in the beginning of the academic year.Accordingly, the following were the steps taken to implement the AIP. This kind of a celebration boosts the morale of the students to excel inones academics. This serves as a platform for 1st & 2nd year students to an urge to securemedals and accolades from the guests.

Environmental Science is a compulsory paper in which every student needs to qualify tobe declared as passed in graduation.
