We are an education charity

We are an independent education charity and the largest provider of academic qualications taught inschools and colleges. We set and mark the papers for around half of all GCSEs and A-levels taken everyyear and our qualications are taught in around 30 countries around the world. They are highly valued byemployers and universities and enable young people of all abilities to progress to the next stage of theirlives.

Born out of ve leading universities, we have over a century of qualications expertise. Today, we employmore than 1,100 people and work with around 35,000 teachers, lecturers, subject experts and academicswho help set and mark our exams.

Our purpose is to advance education by enabling students and teachers to realise their potential and anymoney we make through providing qualications gets invested back into education.

2014/15 exam feesOur overall aim has been to keep our prices competitive, while taking account of the changes to theexam system which are leading to less assessment.

As previously, we have set higher fees in some subjects, for example those with comparatively low entrylevels or high delivery costs. This approach helps us to offer schools and colleges as wide a choice ofsubjects as possible.

Transferred studentsWhere a student takes an exam at a ‘host’ school/college, ie not the school/ college at which he/she is entered, a transferred student fee is charged foreach request form per series.

Transferred student group request fees only apply if all students in the groupare being transferred to the same ‘host’ school/college.

The table below shows the deadlines for transferred students.

Please note: late requests will be charged at 100% in addition to theregular fee as stated on page 4.
