New Agricultural Active Constituent Approved Under Section 14A–Zinc Borate 2335
The Australian Pesticides and Veterinary Medicines Authority (APVMA) is proposing to add zinc borate 2335 to the list of
active constituents not requiring evaluation. Zinc borate 2335 has been evaluated and has met the criteria under Section
14 of the Agvet Code.
The APVMA is satisfied of Section 14(3) of the Agvet Code. As this chemical is an industrial chemical and is readily available the APVMA has determined it is appropriate to place zinc borate 2335 on the list of chemicals approved under section 14A.
Note: Subsection 82(2) of the Food Standards Australia New Zealand Act 1991 provides that variations to standards
are legislative instruments, but are not subject to disallowance or sunsetting.
