As everyone, perhaps, is aware it is one story that created history of sorts both in India and abroad. It received the rarest of rare honour of having been scripted by Sri Bapu, the illustrious gifted artist and film director of Andhra Pradesh. It was made into a film by one of the towering personalities of the modern Indian cinema -- M. T. Vasudevan Nair. And the film was received with warmth at all the major International Film Festivals.
