President’s Message
Our March dinner meeting was lovely all around! With a higher than average turn out, I sensed many
were excited to meet and hear from Connie Williams, the Mayor of Sonora. Her stories of ordinary peo-
ple doing extraordinary things was very inspiring and contributed to this year’s theme of Finding your
Purpose. If you were not able to make it to the meeting, I’ll leave you with one of her quotes.
“The two most important days in your life are the day you are born and the day you find out why.” —
Mark Twain
Networking works! Networking is defined- as the exchange of information or services among indi-
viduals &/or groups; specifically: the cultivation of productive relationships for employment or busi-
ness. By this definition, TCWN is an extremely successful network! There is so much great networking
taking place at our meetings that if you are not attending the meetings, you are missing out on the ba-
sic benefit of your membership. I encourage everyone to mark their calendars and come when you can.
I personally get excited to see both new and returning members at our meetings!
Next month we welcome Heidi Johnson to speak to us on fashion tips! Let’s make this fun by wearing
your favorite outfit/color OR try something daring & different. Positive feedback only, I promise!
Quick reminders: 1) Scholarship Fundraising tickets are now available. Contact Tammy Hammond to buy or sell tickets. 2) Business Expo Sponsorships are available, and tables are selling quickly. Contact Becky Selbee for more information. 3) Facebook advertising of member events is free! Send your de-tails to Bonnie Bettencourt to be published on our Facebook page. And don’t forget to like & share.
A big Thank You to Mary Phoenix, for being such an awesome Web Master! I’m happy to report, our first month of online meeting reservations and 24% of our attendees reserved online. We couldn’t have done this without you!
Feel free to contact me with any questions & comments. I welcome your feedback!
My name is Theresa (Terry) Pettas, I have been in the medical profession for the last 40 years, the first 20 years I was a Medical Assistant. I then went back to school and completed my Masters Degree in Speech Language Pathology. I currently substitute teach at the elementary school near my home in Groveland.
I'm also an Independent Scentsy Consultant. I became involved in Scentsy from my granddaughter when she held a party. I thought the warmers were beautiful and the waxes and scents were terrific. After all, when you walk into someone's home the first thing you notice is the smell! I've al-ways had pets so I was more aware of how my house smelled! Dogs, cats, turtles and reptiles oh my, it was like a zoo at times!
I'm the mother of two boys! My children are all grown up and get to enjoy their own pets now, but I buy them Scentsy and my daughter-in-law loves it! Scentsy is my hobby and the job that I love. My husband even helps me when I participate in various events. I'm hoping to become more active in the community and involved in the Women's Network. I look forward to meeting you all!
