The opportunity sites will accommodate transit-oriented development compatible with the community while facilitating transfers from the new Crenshaw/LAX Line (underground station) to the existing Expo Line (above ground station), connecting South Los Angeles with LAX, USC, Downtown Los Angeles, Culver City, West LA, and Santa Monica. The two transit lines, once completed, will serve a significant regional ridership. Site A is the current location of a Los Angeles County Probation Department facility which the County plans to relocate to re-purpose the site for transit-oriented development. Site B is currently a construction staging ground for the Crenshaw/LAX Transit Project with development potential following completion of construction. The Station is also proposed to accommodate a 110-space park-and- ride facility.
