The Activist Within
Dayspring’s Connections Committee will sponsor the showing of a locally-produced documentary entitled “The Activist Within.” The film documents the struggle of two civil equality organizations working for marriage equality, including Equality Arizona, from 2008 to the present.
The film will be presented this afternoon, April 15th, at 2:00 p.m. in the Adult Room. Voluntary donations will be given to the Right to Marry Walk Arizona. More information on the walk is available at www.righttomarryaz.org
Connections Committee is Dayspring’s group that is committed to a diverse and inclusive church that recognizes the intrinsic worth of all persons regardless of sexual orientation. In keeping with the committee’s goals, the film will provide a forum for dialog and actions on this issue which affects all GLBT & Q (Gay, Lesbian, Bi, Transgender and Questioning) individuals, their friends and families.
The film was selected for showing at the Sedona International Film Festival, the Breckenridge Festival of Film, and the Naperville Independent Film Festival.
