THIS WEEK’S PROGRAMME All Masses are live-streamed. Attendance at Sunday Masses and 10.00 am Mass on Monday, Wednesday and Friday is possible with prior booking although with numbers now limited to 20 persons you are asked to make only one booking to allow as many as possible the opportunity to get to Mass. It is also even more important that you cancel any booking which you cannot manage to attend. It is possible to cancel and amend bookings online, but if you are struggling, please just email the parish and we will cancel your booking for you. The final November reflection will be live streamed at 6.00 pm on Monday. The Church is open for private prayer and Confession on Thursday evening from 6.00 until 7.00 pm and the Divine Mercy Chaplet is live streamed on Friday at 7.00 pm. There will be no further live-streamed devotions this coming week, but Advent reflections will begin the following week. PARISH FINANCIAL MATTERS I can’t repeat often enough my thanks to the parishioners of Saint Helen’s for their tremendous generosity which is keeping the parish afloat during these difficult times. I know that money is tight, but please continue to do what you can to support your parish, especially as it looks as if the present circumstances will go on for a while. I have included our bank details below. In addition, we have an on- line giving facility which allows you to make an offering quickly and safely – either as a one-off or as a regular payment. Just go to our website (you can also gift aid!) (www.sthelenslangside.org.uk) and click on the “on-line giving” button. We are very grateful for a steady number of people who have used this online facility. “ARCHDIOCESE OF GLASGOW ST HELEN’S, LANGSIDE NO 1 ACCOUNT” Sort Code: 83-07-06 Account No: 16851275 In our Advent Appeal we want to try to help the most vulnerable in our local area. Unfortunately we cannot go about it his year in the same way as we did very successfully last year. However, we would like to encourage you to support a local organisation working with Refugees and Asylum Seekers: Positive Action in Housing is a small refugee and migrant homelessness and human rights charity. (Click their logo above to find out more) In the run up to Christmas, the charity’s team will be safely distributing essential crisis support, PPE, food and bus vouchers, winter-wear and hygiene kits to 200 asylum seeking families and individuals in Glasgow (which has the highest asylum population in the UK). Its package of support will help people get through the winter period and these essential resources will help them to keep mentally and physically healthy. The support will focus on those at risk of exploitation: unaccompanied children, families, pregnant women, the elderly, and people with health problems or disabilities. Any donation you can give, no matter how small, is greatly appreciated, with every penny spent on providing direct emergency relief. Click HERE to find out how you can offer support.
