Appliance Accessories GuideCheck Point security gateway appliances are built with flexibility and expansion capability to meet the diverse requirements in today’s enterprise networks. The modular design and the wide variety of network options available in the 4000, 12000, 13000 and 21000 series of appliances not only provide a rich set of connectivity options for these gateways, they also make the gateways highly customizable to be suited for deployment in any network environment.
Keeping your networks available and keeping your business running is our ultimate goal. The 4800 (redundant power supply only), 12000, 13000 and 21000 appliances offer features such as redundant and hot-swappable storage and power supply. Combined together, these features ensure optimized system availability and a greater degree of business continuity. The slide rails, which are standard on many of these gateway appliances, enable fast and easy rack installation and improve the system’s service ability.
NETWORK The 4000, 12000 and 13000 Appliances can be ordered with 1GbE copper, 1GbE fiber or 10 GbE fiber network interface cards. The port density varies depending upon the appliance and the number of expansion slots available. Except for the copper NICs in the 13000, network interface cards are interchangeable between the 4000, 12000 and 13000 Appliances with 10 GbE interface options available in the 4800 model and up.
The 21000 Appliances can be ordered with 1GbE copper, 1GbE fiber or 10GbE fiber network interface cards. The port density can be expanded up to 37 1GbE copper ports or up to 36 1GbE fiber ports. A 4-port 10GbE fiber option is also available for the 21000 Appliances expanding the series' maximum network capacity to 13 x 10GbE ports.
