In 2011 there was a resurgence in both VC and Angel investing….angel investing increased 12.1% over 2010, and VC investing increased 22%. There was also a key shift for VC’s in 2011 was moving into the seed and early stages with a 47% increase in seed investments in 2011 and a 48% increase in early stage investments.

Open Date: April 23, 2012 Proposal Due Date: June 15, 2012 Announcement Date: July 13, 2012 Two types of awards are available: • Technical assistance - RAIN Source Capital. Up to four

applicants will be selected for this support.

• Direct grant support for formation of a new angel fund. Up to $30,000. (To successfully apply for direct grant support, the applicant must demonstrate a track record of forming and managing angel investment funds.)
