Answer: I support Sameera. Greenhouse gases trap radiation and prevent heat from leaving the earth’s surface. In this process, they help to maintain the temperature of the earth. Excess presence of these gases in the atmosphere causes excess global warming.

Answer: Solid particles and liquid droplets present in air are called particulate matter.

Answer: The presence of the particulate matter in the air beyond a certain limit is one of the causes of air pollution.

Examples of particulate matter:

Dust particles like pollen grains, dust in the smoke and vehicular exhaust, fly ash, coal dust, cement and mist are some of the examples of particulate matter in air.

If forests are cut down indiscriminately, there is no obstruction for the flow of water. If heavy rainfall occurs heavy flow of water results in floods. All the water flows out quickly. Small amounts of water only percolate into the soil. So very little amount of water is added to the underground reserves.

Answer: We must maintain separate trash bags for both wet and dry trash. This separation eases the recycling.

Garbage dumps are mostly overflowing and infested by flies, cockroaches, rats etc., which lead to spread diseases. The rag pickers who collect materials from these dumps are therefore more vulnerable and prone to different disease. They often are injured by broken glass or dumped explosives.

They also enter into human beings through the milk they drink.
