Little is known of the life of S Smith beyond that he was a Worcester artist whose principal subject matterbased on titles of exhibited works was landscape. Exhibited titles at the Royal Society of British Artists inSuffolk Street, London as well as a number at various provincial venues in the 1820s include : “Grassmere,Westmoreland”, “Lake Scene” and “Snow on the Coast of North Devon.”
