It has been just over a year since I took on the responsibility of Middleby Celfrost. It has been a time of changes in more than one sense. We have change in people, approach and mindset. However, through it all you have exhibited again and again reinforcing my initial reason for taking on the responsibility “People of Celfrost”. You contributed, kept the business going and I am happy to inform you that we are stronger than we ever were. There is still a lot more to be done, which we keep working on to stay ahead, do the right thing which may not always be the easiest thing to do and keep our customers foremost in our mind – Always. They are the reason for our existence, growth and success and the reason they deal with us is - You, the “People of Celfrost”.
I am happy that we are reviving the newsletter to be published periodically and look forward to sharing as well as hearing information with and from you as well as we journey toward a better tomorrow, all of us together, toward a common goal - a better Celfrost.

Middleby Celfrost, was awarded the Service Excellence Award from YUM! Restaurants India, on November 16 during the 2018 YUM! India Supplier Convention. Award was received by Mr. Balaji Subramanium and Ravinder Sehrawat who were representing Middleby Celfrost. YUM! India will very soon be opening their 1000th store in India. Yum India owns KFC, Pizza Hut and Taco bell Brands, Currently 87% of their business in India is franchised to Devyani International, Sapphire Foods and Burman Hospitality and 13% are equity stores. We have a strong presence in their Kitchen starting with Pitco fryers, Middleby Marshal Conveyors, Star Grills, Celfrost Professional, Hamilton Beach Blenders, Scotsman Ice machines etc.
Upon presentation of the Service Excellence Award, YUM! India Leadership team thanked Balaji and Middleby Celfrost team for their proactive allocation of resources, their commitment and strong support of YUM! India operations. The award presentation continued, thanking Middleby for leading the YUM! India Team with patience, dedication, responsiveness and effective communication and providing smooth and seamless supply and spontaneous reactions to all situations.

The Middleby Corporation Completes Acquisition of Standex Cooking Solutions Group
Elgin, Ill. (April 1, 2019) –The Middleby Corporation (NASDAQ: MIDD) today announced that it has completed the acquisition from Standex International Corporation (NYSE: SXI) of its Cooking Solutions Group.
“We are excited to add the APW Wyott®, Bakers Pride®, BKI® and Ultrafryer® brands to our Commercial Foodservice
Group which allows us to expand the customers and markets which Middleby serves,” said Tim FitzGerald, CEO of The Middleby Corporation.
Middleby previously announced it had agreed to acquire the Standex Cooking Solutions Group on February 27, 2019.
