JELP – SPECIAL ACTIVITIES (January 2013 )

“Never be afraid to try something new,

because life gets boring when you stay within the limits of what you already know……”

The school has engaged the expertise of specialized external trainers to impart training to the children on MONDAYs,

WEDNESDAYs. These special activities provide opportunities to children to pursue a wider range of skills and games

through external trainers and hence these activities will have to be availed off at a special cost. Kindly note that choosing a

special activity is entirely optional .

Special activities are scheduled to commence from the 23rd

January 2012. Dates of the activities are mentioned below.

We are happy to introduce new exciting activities for the students of grades 1- 8.

We are also happy to extend a few special activities to the students of KG2.

Students of grades 1-8 can choose any one of the twelve special activities offered on MONDAYs and WEDNESDAYs.

Students of KG 2 can choose any one of the five special activities offered on Mondays and Wednesdays.

Students of KG 2 availing of paid activities will remain in school till 1.50 p.m. and will return back home along with the

students of grades 1- 8 . Kindly ensure that your child carries extra snacks and water on those days.

Students of grades 1-8 availing of special activities will leave school by the school bus at 3.40 p.m.

Once the student has enrolled the session must be completed. No transfer or refund is possible after the confirmation of a

particular activity. If the student is absent for any class there will be no refund of the course fee.

Please Note : An activity will be run only subject to the registration of the minimum number of students for that

particular activity.

Enrolments to commence from the 16th

January 2013 . Parents please be reminded that it is important to furnish very

clearly all the details on the enrolment form at the time of enrolling your child for the special activities .

With the goal to nurture talented cricket players through the age groups from under 6 into senior cricket, The Spring Cricket

Academy has a structured coaching program for young cricketers. Spring Cricket Academy provides ultimate service and solution

Table Tennis and Lawn Tennis – Deep Sports

The first ever Table Tennis specialized Academy in the UAE , Deep Sports offering both Lawn and Table Tennis. Deep sports

works under the supervision of the Ministry of sports, and UAE TT Association.

Swimming and Aqua Aerobics – Soccer and Sports

A pleasant workout appropriate for all age groups, which focus on cardiovascular and strength training. The sessions allows

groups to enjoy the fun, engage in diverse exercises, benefiting from the water resistance, increasing stamina and fitness level.

Soccer - Soccer and Sports

A sport which everyone is familiar with. A cardiovascular exercise which helps children to focus and learn new techniques, to

develop strategies and a great team spirit. The competition designed in this sport, is the best part of it!!

Abacus – SIP Academy

The SIP Abacus & Brain Gym program is a 'whole' brain development program combining the Eastern method of learning - The

Abacus system with the Western science of Brain Gym. Developed by Mr. Kelvin Tham in 1997, this program has significantly

advanced Abacus Training in Malaysia. The current enhanced version of this program uses Abacus and Brain Gym techniques

to enhance the interaction between the left and the right brain.

Roller Skating - Arash Skate Institute

Official Office of International Roll Ball Federation (I.R.B.F) & Asian Roll Ball Federation (A.R.B.F) Dubai- United Arab

Emirates.

They are an institute related to In-line skate, Ice Skating, Skate Boarding and B.M.X called ‘Arash-Skate Institute”. This is the

first in its type all over Middle- East as the founder of this sport. They are also the founder of in-line Skate Sports in UAE.

As the general manager of this institute, Mehdi (Arash) Salmanpour is one of the official members of A.X.F (Asian Extremes

Sport Federation) which is recognized by O.C.A (Olympic Council of Asia). VICE PRESIDENT of Asian Roll Ball Federation

(ARBF) , VICE PRESIDENT of International Roll Ball Federation (IRBF).

He himself trained and headed UAE In-line Skate National Team in several international events such as 2008 Korea games and

Indonesia games late 2009 , 1st European International Big Air Championship in France and he was only Representative of

UAE and at the end he got 2nd Place in that championship on Jun 2010.

Officially recognized by the Asian Extreme Sports Federation (“A.X.F”) as the only accredited institution by the A.X.F in the

Middle East

¨ The Institute is authorized by the A.X.F to teach Inline Skating, Ice Skating, Skate Boarding and B.M.X

¨ Arash Skate Institute ( A.S.I ) provides high quality teaching and delivers internationally recognized certificates to students.

Certificates are recognized by the A.X.F

¨ The Institute has a group of 50 qualified trainers. All trainers are certified by the A.X.F

Please note students interested in enrolling for Roller Skating must carry their own roller skates with them for every

class.

Effective Communication – Blessed Music Institute

Communication skills holds a very significant roll in today's life. No matter how intelligent a child may be, a lot of opportunities

are lost if that intelligence is not backed up with proper communication skills & confidence.

The program deals with improving the level of Pronunciation, Grammatical formation of sentences, Voice modulation, Body

language, Eye contact, Vocabulary, Debating skills, Presentation skills, Self -confidence and a lot more.

The children will be trained on different topics & they will be trained to perform in front of an audience which will be the

parents of the Communication class students. The Communication Skills & Confidence developed during these classes will be a

very strong asset throughout the life of the individual & will help them open the door of success. The students will also be

trained for the exams with London Arts and Music Academy. Twice a year the

London Arts and Music Academy conducts an examination, where the student

will be assessed and Certified from London.

Each child enrolled will receive a display file with all the communication

material required for the programme.

Music – Blessed Music Institute

Music, the universal language & is psychologically proven to be the best way to unwind from a stressfully day and in the case

of our children, yes, the best way to unwind after a long day dealing with the stress of studies & tuitions .

It has also been psychologically proven that any individual who has learned to play an instrument, automatically has become

more intelligent. While learning to play an instrument, the student has to use both the left hand & the right hand differently at

the same time, the side effect of this is that the student is actually exercising & activating both sides of the brain, which in turn

results in a more intellectual individual.

The training that will be given to the students will be according to the syllabus of the London Arts and Music Academy, where

the student will be trained to read music & play and at a certain stage, the students will be trained to play by ear ( to listen to any

music and be able to play along).

The students will also be trained to play whatever type of music they like & will be

trained to perform for school & inter school talent competitions.

Twice a year the examiners of London Arts and Music Academy will come to our school

and Assess / Examine & Certify the students from London

pieces learnt.

Art – Blessed Music Institute

Every individual has different skills / talents / aptitudes. Art is is one of the best ways of expressing ones self. Art gives an

individual an opportunity to be more creative & to express their Emotions / Ideas through creative expressions.

Proper guidance in Art, will help the students to understand the concept of colour & how to use it in the proper way to be able to

get the final result as close to what picture / idea they have in mind & more realistic. Art has a very wide range of mediums

which can be used to be creative & expressive.

The students will be trained from basics to professionalism. They will be trained in in Drawing, Shading, Colouring,

Decoupage, Use of paper mâché, Use of plaster of Paris and a lot more. This course will encourage your child to be more

Creative, Expressive & Talented.

This course will be according to the syllabus of the London Arts and Music Academy.

The students will be Assessed / Examined & Certified by the London Arts and Music twice a year.

Mini Mozart – Blessed Music Institute

MINI MOZART’s – A very unique course designed for children between the age of 4 – 6 years, is a foundation course, which is

designed to groom children for the basics in Music, Communication skills, Vocals, Art & Craft, Fine & Gross Motor skill

training and a lot more

The course is a fun filled program, where the child will be exposed to different activities in child development, using techniques

that will build the confidence level, without the child realising that they are going through a training program.

This course will help identify the aptitude & strengthens that the child possesses, which will help the parents in channelizing the

energy that the child has, in the most positive and beneficial way.

The course is a division of the London Arts and Music Academy.

The Mini Mozart Kit contains

1) Kinder music rhythm mix instruments which will help the child to learn the different

kinds of beats/rhythms.

2) Little Mozart’s book.

3) A pack of crayons

4) Other Art & Craft material used throughout the programme.

Mini Aerobics – Soccer and sports

It is a workout programme designed to motivate children to enjoy exercise, while boosting their energy levels, same as

improving their mental and physical health. Lots of fun and body movements!!
