Since its construction in the late 1860s, St Joseph’s Gate has become a cherished local landmark. Originally designed to train priests who would spread their message through the British Empire the former St Joseph’s College became a major feature of Mill Hill life, opening its doors and grounds to the local community for fetes and open days. It finally closed in 2008 and its extraordinary architecture has since made it a popular location for films and TV series.
