* CALL TO WORSHIP
Come, let us worship the risen Christ –
Who was anointed by the spirit of God to bring good news to
the poor.
Come, let us worship the risen Christ –
Who was crucified by the keepers of order for heeding the
summons of God.
Come, let us worship the risen Christ –
Who baptizes us with the Holy Spirit for bringing the reign of
God to earth.
With joy and gladness, let us worship the risen Christ.
* HYMN Voices Raised to You SONG OF PRAISE
LITANY OF THANKSGIVING FOR THE GIFT OF MUSIC
John Wright
Spirit of the living God, we give you thanks for the gift of music
which dances in our hearts and makes our souls overflow.
From the first bird which sings in the morning to the last
cricket at night, the sounds of your presence surround us.
We thank you for the poetic words of faith contained in the
songs we sing, the melodies that touch our hearts and the
complex harmonies of the diverse human race.
Sing: O for a thousand tongues to sing, my great Redeemer’s
praise,
The glories of my God and King, the triumphs of His grace.
God of all creation, today we recognize those who serve you
through music.
We thank you for their service and commitment to the ministry
of music.
We give thanks
for our directors, who provide musical instruction steeped in
the tradition of the church;
for our acolytes, choirs and instrumentalists, who fill our
worship with Kyries and Alleluias;
for our choir parents, who make weekly sacrifices as they
support their child’s musical journey of Christian faith.
Choirs: We thank you for the opportunity to express our love for
you and for one another through the mystery of your constant
rhythm.
May we never be hesitant to raise our voices and instruments in
praise of God.
Sing: O for a thousand tongues to sing my great Redeemer’s
praise,
The glories of my God and King, the triumphs of his grace.
* PRAYER OF CONFESSION Audrey Neterval
Living God, you sent the Lord to live among us yet we gave
him up to die.
You raised him from the dead yet we still have trouble
believing.
God of grace, forgive us. Help us to receive with gratitude the
great gift of love you offer. Help us to live as your beloved
children; through Jesus Christ our Lord.

You are my strength when I am weak, You are the treasure that
I seek,
You are my all in all.
Seeking You as a precious jewel, Lord to give up I'd be a fool,
You are my all in all.
Jesus, Lamb of God, worthy is your name.
Taking my sin, my cross, my shame, Rising again I bless your
name,
You are my all in all.
When I fall down you pick me up, When I am dry You fill my

PRAYERS OF THE PEOPLE Maureen Wilson
THE LORD’S PRAYER
Our Father, who art in heaven, hallowed be thy name.
Thy kingdom come; thy will be done, on earth as it is in
heaven. Give us this day our daily bread. And forgive us our
debts, as we forgive our debtors. And lead us not into
temptation, but deliver us from evil. For thine is the kingdom,
and the power, and the glory, forever. Amen.
OFFERING Soloman Alexander
(Please sign the pew pad and pass it to your neighbor.)
OFFERTORY Christ Be My Leader SLANE
arr. Michael Bedford
Bel Canto
Christ be my leader by night as by day; safe through the
darkness, for he is the way.
Gladly I follow, my future his care; darkness is daylight when
Jesus is there.
Christ be my teacher in age as in youth, drifting or doubting, for
he is the truth.
Grant me to trust him; though shifting as sand, doubt cannot
daunt me, in Jesus I stand.
Christ be my Savior in calm and in strife; death cannot hold me,
for he is the life.
Darkness nor doubting nor sin and its stain can touch my
salvation; with Jesus I reign.

* BLESSING AND CHARGE Sarah Crook
Friends, we are assured that what we will be has not yet been
revealed.
Let us live with hope and share our joy,
withhold your anger and shed your disappointments,
and turn to all people with gentleness.
May the Lord bless and keep you,
and shine upon you with grace and mercy.
May the Lord give us what we need for each new day.
