“Adopt A WWII Paratrooper” Our Board of Directors member and Lead Rigger, Jim Micko, has introduced a top notched program to get us all involved and an idea that will help us help ourselves. “Adopt a World War II Paratrooper” was recently crafted by Jim and will be rolled out in January 2017. As the final touches get put on this program we hope that you will all make an effort to rally behind Jim’s idea and take part. More soon...
100th Anniversary of the 82nd Division We have been considered as the featured static line parachute team headed to Fort Bragg, NC in May 2017 to jump onto Sicily Drop Zone! We, TENTATIVELY, will begin the festivities for the 100th Anniversary of the 82nd Division during All American Week. As we took part in the 75th Anniversary of the Airborne at Fort Benning, GA in 2015, jumping onto DZ King, we are overwhelmed by this invitation - TENTATIVE. Manifest call will go out very soon - keep an eye on your email - after we finalize details and permissions.
The 82nd Airborne Division is an airborne infantry division of the United States Army, specializing in parachute assault operations into denied areas. Based at Fort Bragg, North Carolina, the 82nd Airborne Division is part of the XVIII

Airborne Corps. The division was constituted, originally as the 82nd Division, in the National Army on 5 August 1917, shortly after the American entry into World War I, and was organized on 25 August 1917, at Camp Gordon, Georgia and later served with distinction on the Western Front in the final months of World War I. Since its initial members came from all 48 states, the unit acquired the nickname All-American, which is the basis for its famed "AA" shoulder patch. The division later served in World War II where, in August 1942, it was reconstituted as the first airborne division of the U.S. Army and fought in numerous campaigns during the war, gaining an excellent reputation.
Liberty Jump Team 2017 Schedule Please note that anything marked “TENTATIVE” means we are not 100% sure of the event. If you choose to book your flight and it is marked TENTATIVE - it’s on you. As you plan your year here’s what’s on our horizon. A manifest call from Jil changes it to a “GO”.

Parachute Packing Our Senior Rigger, Jim Micko, will be at our Basic Airborne and Refresher Course, again this
year. As we have tried to reiterate, it is YOUR responsibility to have all the working knowledge to pack your own parachute. This really comes into play during operations at airshows and our Normandy operations. With our upcoming school having some special events, we hope you can
come and get a couple of jumps in, enjoy some camaraderie, and pack - pack - pack your parachute!
