Presentation Anxiety
What is Anxiety?• A feeling of worry, nervousness, or
unease about something with an uncertain outcome.
• An abnormal and overwhelming sense of apprehension and fear often marked by physiological signs (as sweating, tension, and increased pulse), by doubt concerning the reality and nature of the threat, and by self-doubt about one's capacity to cope with it.
Presentation Anxiety• Presentation anxiety is a response to
fear and it manifests itself in a number of ways. Physically, for example: in blushing, shaking, stuttering, sweating, being tongue tied.
• Mentally in being muddled, feelings of not making sense, losing the thread.
• These feelings are so unpleasant that we actually want to avoid presentations altogether.
