The Candidates are required to read the following Instructions
carefully for filling the Online Application Form.
Admission into M.Phil / Ph.D Programme offered by Acharya
Nagarjuna University Colleges for the Academic Year 2015-16 will be
made for the courses mentioned in Table I.
The admissions into various Courses mentioned in Table I are

I. HOW TO APPLY: The Information Brochure can be downloaded from
www.anudoa.in or www.anu.ac.in. The
Eligible Candidates have to submit the Application through
Online by Paying Rs.1,200/- without Late Fee
upto 25.07.2015 and Rs.1,700/- With Late Fee upto 31.07.2015
through SBI I-Collect / Payment Gateway / Debit Card / Credit Card
/ Generated Challan.
A separate application should be submitted for Each Subject /
Course.
CANDIDATES WHO HAVE ALREADY APPEARED OR APPEARING FOR THE FINAL
SEMESTER / YEAR EXAMINATIONS OF THE QUALIFYING DEGREE IN APRIL /
MAY 2015 CAN ALSO APPLY FOR ANURCET 2015.
Incomplete applications will be Rejected. Applications received
after the specified date will be summarily rejected and the Cost of
Application will not be refunded. The Director is not responsible
for any postal delay or loss in Postal Transit.
A separate application should be submitted for each Subject /
Course.
The candidates are advised to preserve the Printed Application
Carefully.
II. ENTRANCE TEST: A. TEST CENTRES:
1. GUNTUR 2. ONGOLE (Based on the Number of Candidates is more
than 100 in each Test).
Candidate should mention the Centre Code and Name of his / her
choice in the Online Application Form.
Candidates applying for more than one Test are advised to opt
for the same Centre as there is a likelihood of clash of dates and
timings. Requests for change of Test Centre and Subject opted by
the Candidate in the Application Form will not be considered under
any circumstances.
The final allotment of the Examination Centre will be decided by
the Directorate of Admissions. The Exact Date, Time and Venue of
Test Centre will be given in the Hall Ticket. B. HALLTICEKTS:
Candidates have to download the Hall-Tickets from the website
www.anudoa.in or
www.anu.ac.in. No separate intimation will be sent. No candidate
will be admitted into Examination Hall without Hall-Ticket.
ANURCET-2015 Hall-Ticket is to be produced at the time of
admission. The candidates are
advised to preserve the Hall-Ticket Carefully. C. SYLLABUS: The
syllabus for the Entrance Test is the PG Syllabus of Acharya
Nagarjuna University for the
Subject Concerned. The Syllabus may be download from the website
www.anudoa.in or www.anu.ac.in D. GENERAL INFORMATION: The Entrance
Test will have 100 multiple choice questions and each question
carries 1 mark to
be answered in 90 minutes. NO NEGATIVE MARKS FOR WRONG ANSWERS.
Candidates have to indicate their answers only on the OMR Answer
Sheet provided along with
the Question Paper (Model OMR Answer sheet enclosed towards the
end of this information brochure).
There is no provision for Revaluation, Retotaling or Personal
Verification of Answer Sheets of Entrance Tests.

Candidates have to bring BLACK BALL POINT PEN for marking on the
OMR Sheet. (Candidates are required to go through instructions
given on the OMR Sheet for answering questions in the
Examination).
Books / Tables / Mechanical / Electronic aids / Cell Phones /
Mobile Phones / Pagers are not allowed in the Examination Hall.
Possession of these items in the Examination hall is an offence and
disciplinary action will be taken by the Chief Superintendent of
the Examination centre.
Candidate will not be admitted into the Examination Hall after a
lapse of 15 minutes after commencement of the Entrance test. The
Candidate will be allowed to leave the Examination Hall after 60
minutes of commencement of Entrance Test.
The Chief Superintendent of the Centre may take any disciplinary
action against candidates resorting to malpractices in the entrance
examination will be dealt with in accordance with the University
rules.
The University reserves the right to fill or not fill the seats
announced for any Subject / Programme without assigning any
reasons.
E. RESULTS: o The Order of merit will be decided on the basis of
marks obtained in the Entrance Test. o In case of tie, the tie will
be resolved on the basis of Percentage of marks obtained in
the Qualifying Examination, and if the percentage of marks in
the Qualifying Examination remains the same it will be resolved on
the basis of date of birth in favour of older candidates.
o We will inform the candidates regarding their rank positions
and schedule of counseling through SMS / E-mail. Once they get the
information either through SMS/ E-Mail, they should download the
same from the websites, www.anudoa.in or www.anu.ac.in.
o Hall Ticket, Rank Cards and Printed Application are should be
retained by the Candidate even after the Entrance Test, as it is
required at the time of Counseling.
III. ADMISSIONS PROCEDURE: Qualifying in the Entrance test alone
does not guarantee a seat. All Candidates who apply for the
entrance test satisfying the Eligibility Criteria will only be
allowed for the Entrance test.
Any candidate allowed for entrance test, if later found to be
ineligible, he / she will not be issued Rank card. Even rank cards
are issued in such cases, it will be cancelled later and such cases
will not be entertained for Counseling / Admission.
Admissions of each Course / Subject will be made by the
individual Department Heads only. The admissions will be made based
on merit following the usual rules of reservation. Mere allowing a
candidate for the Entrance Test will not have any claim or right
for admission
into Research Programme. They have to satisfy the Eligibility
Criteria given in Table-II. The decision of Admitting Authority is
final in all such matters.
Candidates admitted to Entrance Test and subsequently getting
admission by furnishing false / incorrect information / indulging
into any other kinds of fraudulent methods are liable for
prosecution and cancellation of their admission without notice.
Allotment of Seats: Preference will be given to the Full-Time
Scholars, however Part-Time scholars will be considered after
filling of utmost 50% of the seats with the Full-Time scholars.
Incase sufficient number of Full-Time applicants to fill up 50%
vacancies are not available, then such seats will be filled with
the part-Time scholars.

IV. RESERVATIONS : (THE RULES OF RESERVATION THAT ARE IN FORCE
AT THE TIME OF ADMISSION SHALL BE FOLLOWED)
Admission to various courses of study will be made on the basis
of merit and subject to the following criteria of reservations.
a. Local Candidates: 85% of the available seats in each category
in each course of study are reserved in favour of the local
candidates belonging to the districts of Srikakulam, Vizianagaram,
Visakhapatnam, East Godavari, West Godavari, Krishna, Guntur and
Prakasam. The allotment of seats under this category will be done
as per G.O.Ms.No.42, Higher Education Dept., Dated: 18-5-2009.
b. Statutory Reservations: (Candidates belonging to these
categories should submit the permanent Caste certificate in
original issued by M.R.O.): i. Scheduled Caste (SC) : 15%
ii. Scheduled Tribes (ST) : 6% iii. Backward Communities (BC) :
29% (A-7%; B-10%; C-1%; D-7%; E-4 %)
c. Other Category Reservations: i. Physically Handicapped (PH) :
3% ii. Sports : 0.5% iii. NCC : 1% iv. CAP (Children of Armed
Personnel) : 2% v. Women : 33.3% in OC and in each of reservation
category.
Note: Candidates claiming Other Category Reservations should
submit Relevant Certificates at the time of Admission
Physically Handicapped candidates should submit the certificate
of their disability issued by the concerned specialist government
doctor (Professors Rank) / Medical Board.
For claiming admission under N.C.C and Sports quota the
candidates should submit Relevant Certificates.
The candidates claiming seats under the category of CAP need to
produce (i) Certificate from Zilla Sainik welfare Officer for whose
parent(s) are Ex-Service Men (ii) Service Certificate for whose
parent(s) are still in service
V. RESEARCH ELIGIBILITY: A) FULL - TIME: For Admission into
Research under Full-Time Programme, a Candidate has to satisfy
the following conditions: 1. Rank in The Entrance Test 2. M.
Phil. / Ph.D.: Candidates must have passed Masters Degree of this
University or any other
recognized University in the concerned or related subject. They
must secure not less than 55% of marks. However, in case of SC and
ST candidates, a relaxation of 5% of marks is permitted.
* Attendance is compulsory for Full-Time Research Scholar as per
the UGC rules. B) PART - TIME: For Admission into Research under
Part-Time Programme, a Candidate has to satisfy
the following conditions: 1. Rank in The Entrance Test 2. M.
Phil. / Ph.D.: Candidates must have passed Masters Degree of this
University or any other
recognized University in the concerned or related subject. They
must secure not less than 55% of marks. However, in case of SC and
ST candidates, a relaxation of 5% of marks is permitted.
3. a) A Teacher with at least 5 or 3 or 2 years of Full-Time
Teaching Experience in a Recognized Polytechnic / Junior College or
Degree College / Oriental College or Professional / PG College
respectively.

b) An Employee possessing at least 5 years of Research
Experience in a cadre not lower than that of Research Assistant
working in a Research Institution run by the State Government or
Central Government or in a Recognized Institution funded by
Organizations like UGC / CSIR / CSSR / DST / DAE and such other
agencies.
(OR) c) A Gazetted Officer with PG Qualification and having 5
years of Professional Experience
(OR) d) An Executive having PG Qualification and 10 years
Experience in Public Limited Company or Quasi Government
Organization.
Note: Service Certificate issued by the Principal of the College
or the Head of the Institution is valid for
computing the length of service for the admission into part-time
research course of the University. C) EXTRA-MURAL: For Admission
into Research under Extra-Mural Programme, a Candidate has to
satisfy the following conditions: 1. Rank in the Entrance Test.
2. The Scientists, Academicians, working in Industries / National
Institutions / State / Central
Government Organizations and National Laboratories. 3. A
Gazetted Officer with PG Qualification and having 5 years
Experience. 4. Executive having PG Qualification and 5 years
Experience in Public Limited Company or Quasi
Government Organisation or Cooperative Organisation having a
turnover of 5 Crores.
