INTRODUCTION• Parikṣā is important in each and every field of
knowledge. In other words parikṣā is necessary for achieving and assessing as well as verification of the knowledge. In ayurvedic classics several types of parikṣā are mentioned like pratyakṣa, Anumāna, āptopadeśa etc..
• Knowledge of the indirect objects can be had other than Pratyakṣa Pramāṇa. Among those Pramāṇas, Anumāna stands in the first place.
CONT..• As acarya caraka quoted the importance of agni that its
proper maintenance helps to live long life and impairment gives rise to diseases. So one cannot ignore which itself explain its importance. As regarding the Anumāna and agni, Only one work had been done on Anumāna pramana and nobody had correlated agni jaranashaktya so to highlight the importance of agnibala by Anumāna parikṣā this topic has been selected.
AIMS AND OBJECTIVES1. To explain and explore the applicability of
Anumāna as parikṣā in Ayurvedic classics along with elaboration on its wide scope in present era.
2. To apply the concept of Anumāna in the assessment of Agnibala.
3. To evaluate and assess the role of Anumāna in the management of Agnimāndya.
