1. Schematic

The layout of the impedance matching network was designed to hold either the componentsfor the basic bit-rate fc/128 version of ISO/IEC 10373-6:2001 as well as ISO/IEC 10373-7,

ISO/IEC TR 18047-3 and ECMA-356 or for the high bit-rates (fc/64, fc/32 and fc/16) versionof ISO/IEC 10373-6:2001/FDAM 5:2007.

Following draft rev. 2 of ISO/IEC 10373-6, the resistor Rext is wired on the ground side of theantenna coil.

Note:  Fitting for ISO/IEC 10373-7, ISO/IEC TR 18047-3 and ECMA-356 is the same as for fc/128.

Rext depends on the usable bit-rate according to the following table.

The input impedance shall be adjusted to (50±5) Ohms at a phase angle of ±5 degrees at theoperating frequency of 13.56 MHz by C4 (and optionally C1c).
