June 22 - Bowling Poker 1 p.m. Join us at Warren Lanes for our poker themed bowling event. This event costs $10 and includes three games of bowling. Every time you hit at least eight pins on your first ball, you earn an electronic poker card. You can only keep five cards in your hand; therefore, you will have to decide which five cards to keep once you have bowled your fifth eight pin ball. The goal is to build the best five card poker hand of all the participants. The best five card hand at the end of three games will win an FSS Gift Card.

June 1 and 22Outdoor Rock Climbing Cost: $25We will be heading for the hills to

try our hands on some real rock. No experience necessary to attend as we will be setting up a wide range of climbs for first timers all the way up to those tough guys. Location is to be determined based on condition, but no matter where we head expect great quality climbs and spectacular views! Transportation, equipment, and instruction provided. Remember to pack a sack lunch, appropriate clothing for the weather, sunscreen, cameras, and water!

June 1Bike N Brew Cost: $20Fort Collins is home to over 20

micro-breweries. Additionally, there is some great cycling in the area. We will be combining both as we cycle to and from a variety of breweries, tak-ing in the sights, tasting some adult beverages. Distance and breweries visited are to be determined based on group skill, etc. Make sure to bring proof of age and money to taste at the different locations. Tastings, tour fees, and bike rentals not included. Make sure to reserve a bike when you register, if needed (half price for bike rentals).

June 2Animal Sanctuary TripCost: $35 Adults, $20 Children

12 and Under The Wild Animal Sanctuary is a

789-acre animal sanctuary located near Keenesburg, Colorado. The Sanctuary specializes in rescuing and caring for large predators which are being ill-treated, which their owners can no longer care for, or which might otherwise be euthanized.

June 2Bouldering Trip Cost: $20Bouldering is quickly becoming a

popular sport - and rightly so! Join us as we head outside. This trip is different from our regular climbing trips because we’re trading ropes and routes for crash pads and short problems.

June 7 and 25Intro to Stand Up Paddle

Boarding (4 p.m. Departure)Cost: $15Stand Up Paddleboarding is one

of the fastest growing sports. This is your chance to try it out to see if it is a sport for you too! We will be teach-ing you the basics of proper tech-nique, paddle strokes, and concepts. Includes transportation, gear and instruction.

June 8Intermediate Hiking TripCost: $15Spring is here in the high coun-

try and we are heading out to take advantage of the blooming flowers, patchy snow fields, and abundance of color. Plan for an entire day focused on capturing the world around us. Location is to be detremined based on weather, but locations may include Snowy Range, Camron Pass, or Rocky Mountain National Park! This trip will be geared toward intermediate hik-ers. It is a great warm up for your summer 14er adventures. Not suit-able for children under 10 or those without prior hiking experience.

June 8Warren Wilderness Women

(WWW) Fly Fishing TripCost: $25We will be teaching you the basics

of fly fishing as we head out to try our luck at some well stocked pri-vate water here in Wyoming. While we can’t guarantee you’ll catch a big one, we promise this is as close as you can get! Trip will include equip-ment, instruction, and transportation. Make sure you have proof of your WY fishing license at time of registration. Call ODR for more information.

June 9Whitewater RaftingCost: $35Age: 13+Join us as we head to the Cache la

Poudre River for a class III-IV white-water rafting trip. The rapids vary from intermediate to advanced in difficulty while the current is swift and the channels are narrow. Go through steep canyon gorges while working as a team to navigate through the turbulent water. Trip includes trans-portation and a ride on the raft. Bring water and snacks.

June 10 - 14BRAT CampTime: 9 a.m. - 4 p.m.Cost: $200Age: 7 - 9Ship the kiddos off to Outdoor

Recreation for a week of outdoor ad-venture. Activities will include every-thing from hiking and boating to rock climbing, and archery. NOTE: BRAT CAMP IS NOT A DAYCARE, we expect the children to show up prepared each day ready for the day’s ac-tivities. We hold the right to remove children from the activity for inap-propriate behavior. Camp includes all technical equipment, instruction, transportation, and any admission fees. Parents may be asked to vol-unteer for different activities, so feel free to ask how you can assist if you are interested. Limited space avail-able so sign up early.

June 11Climbing 1: Intro to Rock

ClimbingCost: $5 Time: 5 - 7 p.m.This clinic is designed to teach you

the basics of climbing equipment, body movement, rating systems, and styles of climbing. No previous expe-rience necessary and all equipment included.

June 13Belay TrainingCost: $5Time: 4 - 6 p.m.Age: 16+Learn the basics of belaying at the

indoor rock wall at ODR. We will cover knot tying, harness fitting, climbing equipment, commands, and proper belay technique. After successful completion of the class, you will have the ability to test off to achieve your belay certification card making you eligible to belay at the ODR indoor rock wall unsupervised.

June 15Fly FishingCost: $30We will be teaching you the basics

of fly fishing as we head out to try our luck at a local river in South Western Wyoming. This trip will include equip-ment, instruction, and transportation. Make sure you have proof of your WY fishing license at time of registration.

June 16Denver Aquarium Trip with

Sloth EncounterCost: $25 The sloth meet and greet will last

about 20 - 30 minutes. You are not guaranteed any portion of this meet and greet, but a typical experience may include the opportunity to touch, feed, and take pictures with the sloth. Due to the nature of this animal, you will not be able to hold him and this meet and greet is subject to slothful-ness (a.k.a. sleeping). You will also be given plenty of time to tour the Aquarium. We will stop for food on the way back.

June 16Father’s Day Fishing Derby Outdoor Recreation will be at the

South Pearson Lake for our annual Fishing Derby. FREE! Open to all ages, we will have a competition in both the Youth (0-18) and Adult (18+) catego-ries to see who can catch the most fish, the biggest fish, the ugliest fish etc.... Prizes will be awarded to our winners and at noon we will have a free lunch of burgers and hot dogs for all participants. Fishing poles will be provid-ed free of charge while supplies last.

June 18National Fishing DayIt’s National Fishing Day. You may

fish today only at South Pearson lake without a permit. It is Catch and Re-lease ONLY. Come by Outdoor Rec to rent all your equipment. Don’t forget we sell worms! Post a pic of your big catch on our Facebook page for a chance to win fabulous prizes.

June 21Water Lantern Festival at Base

June 29Whitewater Inflatable Kayak-

ingCost: RecOn: $30Age: 18+Tried whitewater rafting but don’t

want to do the same trip year after year? How about giving whitewater kayaking a try! Though we won’t be in traditional kayaks, inflatable kayaks perform very similarly but are much simpler to navigate. Location is TBD based on water levels but expect to get wet as we paddle through up to class II rapids! Course will cover paddle strokes, concepts, and tech-niques, and includes instruction, equipment, and transportation.

June 7 - Summer Game Night Lock In, 7 p.m. - 7 a.m. Youth will participate in a variety of excit-ing activities. Basketball, volleyball, ping pong, tug of war, wheelbarrow races and NFL football toss. Youth will make their own dinner and create a pancake breakfast for parents. Cost is $25 for members and $30 for non-members. Payment must be received by the COB on June 6.

June 22 - Cheyenne Superday Lions Park is full of fun things to do and see! Arts and crafts show, rides, live music, games, contests, exhibits, carnival, vendors and live entertain-ment. Cost is $5 for members and $10 for non-members. Bring spend-ing money. Youth will depart the Youth Center Annex at 10 a.m. and return by 4 p.m. SPACE IS LIMITED. Payments must be received by COB on June 20.

tion Ages 5 - 12. Golf lessons are June 19 - August 7. Parents will be responsible for drop off at noon and pick up at 2 p.m. at the F. E Warren Golf course on Wednesdays. This will be limited to the first 10 youth to sign up. Cost $75. Payments to be made at the Youth Center.

June 10 - 14 - American Red Cross Lifeguard Class 8 a.m. - 2 p.m. each day. This class will provide a nationally recognized lifeguarding certification, CPR and AED certifica-tions, and basic first aid. Cost is $38. Must be at least 15 years old and able to attend all days to complete the course. Prior registration is required by June 3.

June 22 - Kids Triathlon 7:30 a.m. registration, 8 a.m. start. Join us for our 2nd Annual Kids triathlon! Floaties are available for use and parents are encouraged to race along-side their children. Swim LessonsSwim lessons begin June 10,

registration begins June 3. Summer swim lessons run Monday - Thursday with morning and evening options. Preschool-Level 6 is available. Eight sessions for $35.

Water AerobicsAll equipment is provided for use

during class. Classes are offered Mon-days, 11 a.m. - 12 p.m. and Tuesdays and Thursdays, 5:30 - 6:30 pm. Cost is $3 per participant per class.

Warren Waves Swim TeamAges 7 and older, We will be of-

fering swim practice on Tuesday and Thursday evenings from 5 - 6 p.m. This is a great opportunity for those who are confident swimmers looking for stroke refinement or help build-ing endurance! No prior swim team experience is required. Cost is $40 per month per child or $55 per month for families.
